I don't know how a lawyer would express it, but from a layman's viewpoint there isn't a difference between can't be sold with a charge outstanding and a charge must be satisfied during the sale completion process - providing the layman makes a distinction between offered for sale and sold. During the saga of the Newquay loans at FC I seem to recall reading a comment about FC having to release charges for the sales of units to go ahead.

So do you think will still go live today? No reason why it won't; the auction question has been answered so I'm guessing the borrower needs the funds!

...and 455 days. January 2018.
Is this the first longer-than-a-year loan?

...and 455 days. January 2018. Is this the first longer-than-a-year loan? No loan SS have offered has had a term more than 365days... ...been a couple of extensions along the way....

I wanted this loan due to the long loan term, shame we got so little. With it being a small loan I didn't expect a big chunk but expected more then £125.

Just gone live... £125 allocation 2276 Investors @ Live If I've done the maths correctly, I think that means there were between 257 and 593 investors who pre-funded £100, and the rest pre-funded more than that. And that something between £8 and £8,408 was released to the SM for the FFF frenzy. The above presumes that nobody -- SS/Lendy directors, backers and staff included -- is given an allocation greater than what we investors are given.

Liz: I'm afraid there's more to my comment than just cynicism. AIUI, someone asked SS directly to confirm that nobody was privileged enough to be given better allocations than SS's retail investors. SS failed to respond to that question. (It was asked over two weeks ago.) From that, the questioner concluded SS directors and staff etc. are not subject to bottom-up allocations like the rest of us are. Having learned about that question and SS's non-answer, I'm having difficulty avoiding the same conclusion.
