This thread is of limited value. By the time someone posts a message, someone else reads it and goes over to SS site the loan will usually have gone. And you will never beat a bot anyway.

Some of the older loans, overdue, have been hanging around for a while. Other than that, most stuff has vanished in seconds, mainly to me. ;-)

Makes me wonder if SS could do with implementing something along the lines of Pre-Funding for the SM as well? Everyone would sign up for how much they'd like to fund of any SM loans and if parts for a loan you've signed up to "pre-fund" in the SM do come up, everyone who's registered for it gets allocated a chunk in the same way that they do with pre-funding new loans. Granted, it'll probably mean that you only ever get small fractions of what you sign up for with each SM part that gets listed, but over time it should gradually build up to your target level. And it's difficult to make a case for why the SM should favour people using bots or those who sit there and constantly refresh the page as it does at the moment and this method would create a more level playing field in that regard.

Nice idea. But SS have little incentive to introduce this feature. Loan parts on the SM are not paid any interest, although SS already has use of the money. Currently all SM parts disappear quickly but that may not always be the case.

I guess we should be pleased that there is the confidence in the platform/market.
Another choice might be like ABLrate where you can bid/offer at chosen price.
As is I think its OK, there will always be those (like me?) who thinks it could be tweaked a little.

It is of limited value, but I have managed to pick up some secondary market loans, as a consequence of it and sold some pieces myself after posting on here. The sales are fairly quick though, so you have to be fast.

for a preemptive heads up, I'm planning on selling some, quite small, parts in a number of loans on Monday morning. Whilst only dust or shrapnel to the BHs of this world, I thought it might be of interest to others.
