23:58 Flippin' Eck !!!!! DFL004 - Someone just swallowed the lot !!!!!! BHs are definitely not dead !!!! imgur.com/a/Axo7jI just commented on this in the DFL004 thread before reading your post. But after looking at your screenshot I'm confused. I put some of this loan up for sale yesterday and it hasn't sold and is still £3.4k from the front of the sale queue ... 20/01/2017 02/05/2017 3 months £200.00 £6.71 12% 0.0% £3,439.09 If this investor had bought it down to £0 remaining tonight then my part listed yesterday would have sold.. which it hasn't. Scratches head .. Yeah - weirdness (see my post update) .... seems to be some invisible listings - maybe the humungous bite has blown the system !

Yes, seems to be broken. I'm showing as having £82720 in the queue in front of me, yet SM only shows £42,033 available at time of posting

I'm afraid this does not instil much confidence in the IT system.
I and I am sure many others make decisions about listing parts for sale based on the size of the queue and it seems to be massively inaccurate in this case.
Also it appears this investor wanted as much as possible in this particular loan yet some of us who were trying to sell it have not yet done so because he was not offered all that was available?

It appears that all of mine are invisible, but is still shifting through the queue. Maybe selling 69 parts in 5 minutes broke it.

23:58 Flippin' Eck !!!!! DFL004 - Someone just swallowed the lot !!!!!! BHs are definitely not dead !!!! imgur.com/a/Axo7j00:14 Bit of weirdness now - £37k showing available on SM, but a sale queue of £82k ................ I was taken aback this morning, not to see £400,000 plus on the market for DFL004... 03/05/2017 d*******1 £56,126.23 03/05/2017 d*******1 £330,010.00 £380K plus is a very large investment, especially if that person is 'spreading the risk' over the whole platform, with a few percent of his whole portfolio invested there...

Unless that "person" is actually just a script of some kind.

Well Lendy/SS did go through a similar 'can't put a foot wrong' stage when it was small, young and not mature enough to have to deal with defaults. At that point people trusted its judgment. When MT has to deal with failures, euphoria will subside and 20/20 hindsight criticism will kick in (I believe a lot of criticism of SS is not because they are doing anything differently rather that during the euphoria stage they were not forensically scutinised). I think loud disapproval on this forum does not necessarily mean a platform is bad/changed for the worse, conversely i don' think darling-status on this forum necessarily means a platform is safe. Darling status is actually far more dangerous as things slip through unobserved and/or unchallenged. Jack P I get the feeling that most of the key contributors on these pages are very pro-Lendy. The views expressed are generally balanced and factual. The disapprovals come constructively and are generally aimed at Lendy's seemingly loose DD. Read back over some of the excellent DD done by members on these pages where gaping holes were identified in Lendy's DD and some loans were jokingly labelled "barge pole". Sure enough, a lot of these "barge pole" loans have ultimately hit trouble. My Favourite was the debate where someone had said (words to the effect) that not only should a certain borrower be rejected for a loan he should probably be thrown in jail. I sit laughing at the wit and sense of humour of some members, priceless For one borrower, jail would be getting off lightly. I'm surprised he has not been given a set of concrete boots and made to walk on water. Oh, and many around him for that matter. Lendy and lenders will also be getting off very lightly by losing a little money to him. That one loan on this platform completely changed the way at look at P2P and Lendy. It was supreme arrogance to think they could deal with this man and walk away smiling. "Only the security matters". No, not when those values can be manipulated and when the person you are dealing with is a very, very clever crook. Very few walk away from a business encounter with DP with a smile on their face, unless they are in cahoots with him to ruin yet another persons life.

Oddly, the DFL004 is back on SM again, now 114K is available.

Unless that "person" is actually just a script of some kind. It would still be a very wealthy script.

I think it all boils down to the fact that this is a massive 11 million pound loan that has fewer than 100 days left to run. Those two factors in themselves smell trouble and a lack of liquidity not far down the track.
Also with it being a DFL and with investors having not been shown any development progress reports it is pretty high risk to hold it to anywhere near the end. The usual safe and prudent investing strategy of sell out at 60|70|80|90|100 days to run is starting to kick in with this one. It's as simple as that.

Oddly, the DFL004 is back on SM again, now 114K is available. The clearance sale may have encouraged others to sell who were holding back given the likelihood of interest loss in the old queue.

On a similar note, what is the rationale behind stopping interest accruals whilst loan parts are up for sale? With the SM being luke warm, loan parts can linger for days/ weeks (some of mine have). The borrower is still paying interest and the lender still has his/ her money tied up so apart from pressing the "sell" button the position for both borrower and seller remains the same. Is this a (not so) sneaky revenue stream for Lendy. Is Lendy using these funds to top up the PF or is it merely being set aside to fund the Christmas party. if I'm not wrong, other platforms pay interest up until the loan part is sold. Am I right?

One benefit of there being no interest (to sellers) would be that if interest were still being paid a lot more parts would probably be put up for sale from people not really bothered if they are bought or not, prolonging the agony for anyone wishing to exit the platform.
Col copied this method.
