ThinCats / The Business Loan Network are noticable by their absence from the list of companies attending LendIt 2014, particularly given one of the prominent topics discussed by the European panel earlier today was the benefit (some) institutional funding could bring to the platforms. Institutional funding is, of course, something that TC have repeatedly indicated they feel is going to be a major part of their platform going forward, yet they were absent from todays beauty parade.

Did anyone else watch (or go) and would like to make a report. I was only able to watch for a matter of minutes. IN EDIT The vids available now are all last years.

I watched most of it. Have not written an English language recap - only my german readers got one. Don't know if you can deduct much from it without actually having seen the conf., but you can get something out of the many tweets I did in realtime: twitter.com/wiseclerkPeter said this years videos will be made available in a few weeks.

chris, I know this is not related to this subject but, didn't want to start a whole thread for the sake of one question. Can AC provide info on its membership as some p2p platforms do in terms of total number, active/inactive numbers, average invested capital per member , etc? It's like manna from heaven to statistics boffins....ahem....like me

We certainly have the stats but up to the business types to share them rather than me.

I watched for a little bit, I found it all fascinating, the only thing that really made me think afterwards was where Stuart Law says that it's intended that AC will Franchise the software, not necessarily using the AC brand (if my notes are accurate). That was in the European discussion along with Zopa, RS, Auxmoney? (German Co.) when talking about expansion. To me this explains why there was only one or two Dutch Auctions and yet AI is still being programmed for it. I think this answers some of badger's queries on this matter. That also makes us a shop window for AC's software. I think it should sell well, anyway I'm off to bed.

Franchising software is a great concept provided the franchisees are prepared to pay for the updates as and when required. I know more than one company that purchased (or rented) the front end and weren't prepared to pay for the upkeep. It soon went all **** up as you're dealing with an evolving target.
