I received this message via email from Zopa earlier today:
"We wanted to let you know about a small interest payment that you received in your holding account last week.
As per our Zopa Principles, any interest that we receive on our Lender bank account will be paid to those Lenders.
Interest was paid to Zopa for the period 1st January 2015 to 29th April 2016 on lender money held in the account (for example whilst waiting to be lent out).
We have calculated the average holding account balance for each Lender over this period. The interest due was distributed proportionally to each Lender that would be eligible to earn at least a penny.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to customer services on 020 7291 8331.
Thanks
The Zopa team"
Delighted to say that I received £0.01 on 21st November with reference: "Manual Interest Payment".
(Not so happy with the grammar in the second line of their message.
