I had a new reCaptcha this morning... select an area around a street sign. I failed miserably, I could not figure out what was expected. Using a mouse I clicked dragged and drew around it to no visible effect.
No idea how you peeps that use tablets and phones will be able cope with it!

Sequentially click 3 points that encompass the sign/whatever and you're done - quicker to complete than selecting pictures.........

I think you need 4 clicks (a quadrilateral of some kind) but the figure is always closed .. you select the apices and google generates the figure, at least that how it seems to work for me. 3 clicks you get a (closed) triangle, 4 a quadrilateral, and presumably 5 would give you a pentagon of some sort (not that I've exceeded 4 yet).

Four extra clicks to prove we're not bots, when speed is of the essence. What a waste of bloody time!!! No wonder we can't beat the bots. I don't bother any more.

I am rarely buying on the SM, but when I do, I am not getting the ReCaptcha. Probably frequency is an important element.

Probably frequency is an important element. It is one of the factors, yes. If you've not got any adblockers, you'll probably get a couple of free goes before the Captcha kicks in. If you use an adblocker, or otherwise block Google tracking domains, then Google see you as being a higher risk of being a bot, so you'll always get the Captcha. Basically, Google are looking for "normal" browsing patterns. If they see them, then the assumption is that you're a human. If they don't - because they can't see what you're doing normally, or the patterns they can see are unusual - such as heavily focussed on the SS SM - then you'll get hit with the Captcha more.

I notice that sushi is now making a regular appearance.
Not as easy as palm trees and store fronts but I'm hungry learning.
