Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

I think 2198963072(LPS) is the longest running loan and it's about to be repaid.

I just noticed that this update was subsequently edited to read: " Following discussions with the borrower we have agreed a thirty-day extension - at which time the borrower intends to repay the loan in full from a longer term mortgage in final stages of approval." Good to see that someone is watching and taking note! Have you seen the latest update now? ' ONGOING PROCESS' whatever that means. literally dealing with monkeys. I hate vague information.

I presume that just reflects the fact that we're still mid-way through the 30 day extension period.

I think 2198963072(LPS) is the longest running loan and it's about to be repaid. FS have now said that they will cover a shortfall in the capital recovered, but no interest is being paid: UPDATE: This loan will shortly be closed as the parking spaces have been sold. Due to the extended period with the receiver and the additional work required by the agent to complete the sale the final amount received is less than the original loan amount. Ordinarily this loss would be passed on to investors but FundingSecure have elected to fully repay the capital to all investors, however no interest will be paid.

More choochoos being late i see (1771619745). Borrower hiding again i assume. I have asked four times on help line and get the following answers regarding this loan: Agent dealing with this loan is out of office today but will be posting update shortly ( 2 times) We are expecting funds in next 2 days to renew this loan 1 time We are in discussion with the borrower regarding this loan 1 time. Interesting what reply I get when I ask again later this morning. I feel sorry for the ladies who have to keep telling lies on the chat line regarding late loans.

It is a little questionable that FS is allowing related loans from the same borrower to be traded on the SM. Caveat Emptor

Thanks for the update tomtom. Will probably be an update saying: ongoing.
They have renewed other choochoo loans recently but i sold the ones i was in (not this one as supposedly less than 30 days to end date...not true as it turns out). It all just seems a tad too friendly with the borrower so i won't be renewing this one.

tomtomThere is an update on 2521066233 (another train loan), saying borrower looking to renew next week. I suspect the borrower will find the interest for both loans, by offering yet another train loan.

Interesting but suspect that this will go the same as as the other loan by have difficulty in finding the interest required, but with the end of the tax year soon there might be some push to sort these loans out otherwise no doubt there will be pressure to deafaultthese loan to be able to claim tax back on capital. Malaya Garnet loan was extended twice with no further extensions
17/02/2017
This debt was due to be paid today. Borrower called up to apologise to say he needed a further 7 days. Whilst we agreed, we will not be accepting many more delays.
10/02/2017
Borrower has requested a further 7 day extension to which we have agreed. The revised repayment date is now 17 February.
and today, surprise surprise, has been extended by another month. Any bets if it is a final final extension or just final?

Borower visited us yesterday and requested a further extension until week commencing 24th March. Whilst we would normally not allow such an extension, in view of the good previous repayment history and the rareness of the stone, we agreed. We stressed that this needs to be a firm date and there can be no further extensions beyond. We will, in the meantime, start looking for exits in case this final date is not met.

I think I prefer the concrete redeem/renewal model of MT/Coll - if s/he would like to extend, let them do so at a default rate with lenders given the chance of rolling over or exiting.
