Only invest in something you understand (or at least think you do). I think this is probably the best suggestion I can give you.
How much do you know about British companies who might want to borrow money from you? How much do you know about the UK and Europe?

yochay do you mean 'invest in' - buy equity in a P2P platform, 'invest through' - buy equity in other companies via a P2P platform, or 'lend through' - lend to other companies/individuals via a P2P platform? If it is one of the latter two, one of the problems is anti-money laundering/terrorism legislation which means companies need to check you out to ensure that you are who you say you are and that your money is legitimate as a result some restrict their invester/lender base to their home country, others base in the EU restrict it to the EU and outside of the US most will not take US investors due to tax and IRS disclosure issues. One possible P2P platform who may accept you as a lender is Bondora who state on their website that they will accept lenders from across the EU and beyond but for those outside the EU it is done on a case by case basis, is subject management team approval and their being able to ensure that your money is legitimate.
