I understand that the figures quoted for the loan book include the number of loans which show negative dates. You might be aware by now the number of questions that these loans are raising. May I suggest that you clarify and simplify this issue.

The number of lenders do continue to expand. Many, including myself do not understand if this is a figure of active lenders, lenders that just registered even if they have never lent, lenders that might have lent in the past but stopped, or any other description. Can you please shed some light?

Your comment re "the reputation we have attracted for low-risk secured property lending" might need to be adjusted and taken with a sizeable pinch of salt, given what we are discovering about some of the loans.

"I joined the team in January with one priority objective: to improve our communications to investors." You are very welcome and I (together with many others) welcome your objectives too.

I understand that SS has a dedicated email support but I also welcome your keeping "an eye on all our communiciations channels, to address requests as they come up." I understand this to refer to this forum amongst others that you might have in mind.

REBRANDING

"Also, in response to our rapid growth, we will be rebranding in Q1 this year, to create a more simple and coherent brand identity, so watch this space."

Now that is some news that I will be interested to see how it will turn up.
Is it a straight, simple rebranding?
Does it involve new partners?
Does it include changes to the system? (If yes, what? How?)
. . . . .

Of all the things SS needs to do, a rebranding is not one of them. Presumably sold to them by some marketing guru. I think Westonkev suffered when Ratesetter's marketing Stazi started believing their own bullshit.

......we tend to meet any new situation by reorganizing; and a wonderful method it can be for creating the illusion of progress while producing confusion, inefficiency, and demoralization.

And without evidence of material changes any 're-branding' will surely be treated (by those with axes to grind) as equally illusory, an attempt to air-brush bad PR from lender's consciousness.

Well I hope they re-brand to something straightforward and to the point. Platform Black's recent rebranding to Sancus Finance struck me as bizarre, but maybe a good way to reduce investor demand if that was their intent.....

Yep, just ask the forum, lots of creative juices and it only takes the prospect of a chocolate bar to get them stirring. Didnt even need that to generate an entire potential viral ad campaign for MT (ok, actual implementation might prove a little costly, with image rights, but hey)
