Me and Architects are clearly not in agreement. This just looks like a disused container dropped into a farmer's field

It is probably the ugliest looking grand design I've ever seen.

Someone with too much money that thinks they are progressive will buy it during build. Need to get a tv show to make a program about it! All those green ideas being incorporated must be of interest. Wonder why they didn't use straw bales instead of bricks? Shame the land could not be developed for much needed affordable housing but this village would probably not want an explosion from the 10,000ish.

At least there is grass growing on the roof for any passing sheep to enjoy.
But what are all those shrubs lined up indoors?

Yep, one that's bound to split opinions, I guess.
Not to my taste either, but Broadoak being involved is always a big plus.
Hopefully the access, via the road intended for the adjacent upmarket development (VR didn't know if private or adopted) won't become a big issue.

Would not personally like to own it either but happy to take my slice of it, may even get a slice for the misses too.

Perhaps BroadOak or MoneyThing can offer clarification on this point.

At least there is grass growing on the roof for any passing sheep to enjoy. But what are all those shrubs lined up indoors? About 1/3 of the volume is taken up by two indoor gardens. (Effectively supersized conservatories.)

Pre-commencement conditions were discharged by planners early Oct 16, all other conditions are relevant to completion and to be complied with pre-occupancy.

The inside will look much better than outside it seems, and the indoor gardens would be good in this cold weather.

Another vote for "I wouldn't want to live in an oversized shipping container."
If I've understood the floor plans correctly (in overview.pdf) the six bedrooms each have en-suite shower rooms, and there are more WCs and showers on the ground floor. But no family bathroom containing a bath that I can identify.

Anyone else notice the valuer's report quoting uncertainty around the (upcoming) EU referendum. Money for old cut and paste.
