International Society of Travel Medicine (although in this case, perhaps "It seems to me").

IIRC "It seems to me" I did have to google several acronyms on this site. Edit: 1 hour ago The funds are still with borrower's solicitor, held against an undertaking. We expect release next week.

15/5/17 - We have (again) been assured that the funds are with the solicitor but they have not yet been released. We are trying to determine the reason why they cannot be released, despite assurances that they will be. Expectation, from solicitor, is that they should be available next week.FS, have you lodged a Formal Complaint with this Solicitor? If not, why not please? If you have lodged a Formal Complaint then now please log a Formal Complaint with the Solicitors Regulation Authority - sra.org.uk/consumers/problems.pageThis person should not be practicing, they seem to be lying to you. IMHO. fundingsecure

Just to clarify - no one is lying.
It is common practice for a solicitor to hold funds against an undertaking, which cannot be passed on until released by the funder.
In this case the company providing the funds has passed them to the solicitor in readiness, against an undertaking (From the solicitor) not to release them until the funding company says so. This proves that the funds are available - but they remain in the solicitor's client account awaiting release.
In this specific case the funder is waiting for one final piece of documentation (from the client) before they will release the funds.
Hope this clarifies the situation.

FundingSecure Thanks for the prompt comment FS. Just to clarify, is it also common practice for Solicitors to continue making statements they can't/don't fulfill? 15/5/17 ................ Expectation, from solicitor, is that they should be available next week.1/4/17 ..................... .As nothing has yet been received, despite their solicitor's assurances4/3/17..................... Confirmation, from lawyer, that completion will be on Friday 10th March.
Call me old fashioned, but "confirmations" and "assurances" that never actually happen get called something else where I come from. That, is my point. fundingsecure

Hi micky, presume you mean my comment re "assurances" etc. I'm not having a dig at FS, as I'm sure they're aware. I do, however, very strongly feel that FS and the other P2Ps need to "call out" these people. If indeed they ever actually have done? I AM having a dig at these "Professionals" who have no compunction whatsoever in regularly, for months on end, telling us, via our P2P intermediaries, that they're going to DO something, when they have no intention whatsoever of doing said action when they say they will. And everyone just puts up with it, like " that's how it is." As I say, it's called something else in my book, but it's alright if a "Professional" engages in it.

FS, you really DO need to threaten (and I DO mean threaten) this "Solicitor" with making a Formal Complaint against them, you just might suddenly get some action?
IMHO.
