Things seem to be spiralling out of control with the pattern matching. I am now occasionally having to solve 14-15 picture sets correctly in order to pass. I see no point in this and it is likely to discourage use of the SM. If multiple pictures are deemed necessary, why not limit to 5 or 6 maximum which should be more than sufficient to stop any 'bots'?

Nothing has changed - it will be your activity that makes the Recaptcha think you are a robot Recaptcha is nothing to do with SS, it is a google product and they dictate how it operates. SS just implements the code and there are no settings to tweak. The problem is Google Recaptcha is not fit for purpose on SS. Its primary purpose is for single use, like downloads or registration etc. It automatically thinks that repetitive use (such as on the SM) makes you a bot. However, there is no product that SS can implement that won't frustrate. The other option is not to have Recaptcha, and then we would be back to BOTGATE However, change may be just around the corner....

The problem is Google Recaptcha is not fit for purpose on SS. Its primary purpose is for single use, like downloads or registration etc. It automatically thinks that repetitive use (such as on the SM) makes you a bot. However, change may be just around the corner....Having read the Google info, ISTM that the 'new' system isn't going to be much different from what we're experiencing now. In fact, SS may be on the 'new' system already. Google say... ... and then they show a picture of what we're seeing now. The 'single click' experience is what we've referred to as a 'free pass', and I typically get one or two of those each day, generally when I haven't tried to buy anything on the SS SM for a double-digit number of hours. As soon as anyone makes multiple purchase attempts in a limited span of time, Google raises the red flag and starts serving up pictures to choose from, etc. So despite wanting to think that we're going to see an improvement, I really am not expecting anything. As C_D has suggested, Recaptcha is not fit for purpose for the activities of SS investors. But it's better than a return to BotGate and, until something better comes along, we're stuck with it.

Recaptcha works fine for those making occasional SM purchases. I very rarely get to the stage of being asked to do anything beyond tick the box. Indeed, I must have made 7 or 8 purchases this afternoon and still didn't get the pictures.

Indeed, I must have made 7 or 8 purchases this afternoon and still didn't get the pictures. It's not just the frequency of purchases that matters. I've never not had to fill in a Recaptcha, and I make a very low level of SM transactions.

All I am getting this evening, is a circling & circling reCaptcha, with no final tick or box of pictures in sight... Anybody else having similar difficulties with reCAPTCHA?

Do you still have to do this to buy a loan part?
Jeez, I thought Lendy would bend over backwards to sell a loan part.
Oh how they were happy days, up at 3am just to grab some loan parts!

Had that on and off since they brought it in. Highly annoying especially when you're trying to buy something that's decent and it's gone by the time the recaptcha sorts itself out!

I emailed them over a year ago regarding this issue. They told me that they were working on it. Seems like still working ... with no result(( Quite disappointing that on top of charging sellers for using the secondary market (investor don't get the interest while their loans are for sale) they discourage buyers to use secondary market in such way.

As opposed to being up at 01.30am just to slag Lendy off (again, and again, and again.......) Personally have had no problems with recaptcha over last 12 months.
