Hi all, I funded my SS account 12 days ago, but it's still saying I cannot fund any offers until my account has been authorised.
I've tried emailing (twice with no response) and calling (no one available to speak to me, no one returned my call or replied by email.)
Is this normal for SS? If it is, I'm worried!

I'm sure there'll be a barrage of forumites going on about SS communication etc etc but no, this is not usual or normal according to my experience, they are usually pretty efficient - not the best but that sounds unlucky. I assume that you've checked your spam filters etc etc - some lose SS emails this way. Jack P

No, I've checked spam, nothing there.
I've had one response to my initial enquiry nine days ago:
"Your application is still being processed through our necessary vetting procedures. We will be in touch as soon as the process is complete."
Since then I've had no word, and no replies to my follow-up emails asking how long the process typically takes.
Perhaps I'm being too impatient, but none of the other P2P platforms took anywhere near this amount of time to approve me.
I'm not a money-launderer or terrorist-funder, honest!

It doesn't sound right. If they do let you in - do be aware of changes before month-end that mean that its even more important that usual to avoid negative/near negative loans (until you *really* know what you're doing!) Jack P

May I ask if you are based in the UK?

Apologies, I missed your question. Yes I am UK based.
I finally received a reply from SS - it seems that I was supposed to have been sent a request for further proof of ID, which I didn't receive (and no, it didn't go into spam.)
Once I sent the photo ID it was only a further 1 day to receive account approval, however the process took about 2 weeks in all.
