Hi everyone,
I have been reading up a little on P2P loans etc.. and was wondering if someone could explain in detail how i would go about finding a lender.
My credit rating is poor so the likes of ZOPA will not allow me. Essentially, I'm wondering if there's a site you can directly contact lenders, explain your situation and get a decision from there.
This may seem like a stupid post but I had to ask.

I can't think of one, for consumer lending the borrower remains anonymous and the p2p company vets applications before matching with pooled lender money (the only pllatform with identified 1:1 consumer to lender matching is The Money Platform but the borrower remains anonymous).

I think P2P have tightened up on credit requirements these days. Some of the early sites did allow borrowers to make a case and lenders decided whether to lend even if the borrowers credit rating was not so good, but losses were high so the model was abandoned (as far as I'm aware).
You could try a Credit Union, if there is one you can join.

eMoneyUnion might be worth a look, as they do work with people with poor credit.

I don't know your situation, but it seems that you should find ways to improve your credit rating. If you can't, you are probably just going to dig yourself into a deeper hole by borrowing more.
