Is there a way of working out the allocation for a loan before it goes live? The last tranche of DFL4 was about half a million and my estimate was £400 per investor. I later discovered I got it horribly wrong.
Ps. allocation was reported to be £1520.

The usual rule of thumb is loan amount divided by 2200, but it depends how many investors want it and how much they want. In the recent DFL2017 you could have had an allocation of £2m.

The different rates make it difficult to pre-guess but for new loans, 2000 investors for 11/12% & 1000 for 8-10% might be a reasonable proxy.
Re dfl4, over 100k had been sitting on SM and is already 10M so most investors can be expected to have their max.

Allocations are included on my index, so you can try and use that as a guide Now INPL has been removed from the SM, I like to "pre-balance" my account, so I'm always trying to gauge the allocation.

Most people are upto their limit on DFL004, that's why the allocation was higher than normal, that and it was harder to sell existing loans on the SM, which is often needed to fund new allocations.
