Last week we announced that we were trialling some system enhancements, which are aimed at processing investors' deposits more speedily and more regularly. I am pleased to say that, while there has been some small teething problems, the system has proven robust and we have received some very positive feedback on the service.
We have now taken it down to evaluate its performance and to complete final testing ahead of a full launch to be confirmed in a few days' time.

Hi Leapardcat
Thanks for the message.
Yes, it will be Monday to Friday in its initial phase, then we will review and extend if warranted. We are also looking at extending to withdrawals as part of our IT routemap but that will not be yet.
Best
Paul

The most annoying thing about SS for me is when you get an advance go live notice on a Friday (for Saturday) just after you've requested a withdrawal that you won't get til Monday anyway.

Best Paul It would be extremely useful if it was extended to the weekend, otherwise the SM comes to a grinding halt.

Under those circumstances, I'd just wait for the withdrawal to arrive and then send it straight back. Highly unlikely to breach SS's 24 or 48 or whatever-it-is hour rule (and if it did, a short conversation on the subject would surely see everything right). If that really is what annoys you most (more than, say, those love-making storefronts), it's small wonder your avatar looks so fetchingly happy.

Well it's all relative and annoying is a very different category to worrying/concerning. Would be much more irritating if I were still trying to buy on the SM (given go lives tend to also coincide with others selling stuff) but I'm not. Predictable access to your cash is not entirely an unreasonable ask anyway, and at the moment it's far from predictable.

Perhaps it's not the immediate opportunity of the primary market, which is mitigated by INPL, but the consequent invigoration of the SM which requires the ready funds...

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

It appears to be the same problem as last time, the system stops and then restarts for new deposits, this leaves earlier deposits locked out. Last time you only recognised a problem when this forum hounded Lendy. Can we please have a hotline to inform you promptly ?

Hi all,
Bank holiday backlog
We'd like to apologise for the slow processing of some transactions on the platform today. Part of the transaction process goes through our high street banking partner, which has had issues over the speed at which it can execute transactions once they hit a daily threshold. As the banks were closed over the Bank Holiday this has created a backlog at the partner bank that will add an estimated 24 hours delay. The backlog should be cleared by tomorrow, and we should then return to our usual processing speeds. Where you are making withdrawals these will be processed separately, bypassing the delay at our partner bank.
A short note will be going out to all investors shortly.

Paul64Why is there a daily threshold? An unreliable system leads me to make multiple smaller deposits rather than one larger deposit.

It has nothing to do with Lendy. This is a restriction at our banking partner, which is one of the big four high street banks, so a common issue.

Thanks for the update, Paul.
Most of us appreciate that stuff doesn't always go as planned - I believe that most people will be surprisingly tolerant providing they are kept informed what's going on.
