Is there anyone who knows how to go about borrowing against a pension pot? ablrate;-) I'm not sure they will be interested about the sum I need. It is a relatively small pot and the sum is just in low 10s of thousands.

I think it was a joke, Ablrate has offered several loans secured against property purchased via a loan against a pension, suggesting they might be familiar I think you can only borrow upto 50% of the pension, it needs to be secured lending, normally via a SIPP or a SSAS, at a commercial rate and normally the setup and admin fees are costly so only worthwhile for very large pension pots Alternatively you might want to look at selling your investments outside of a pension too your pension fund, which might give you the same overall result. Again you need a pension that allows this though
