You've had a good run with PBL140 then - I lost my nerve over 100 days ago with that loan and sold out. I'm still in 140. Am I missing some bad news somewhere or is this just a time left to run thing? For me, it was mainly based on time left, although it was never one of my favourite loans

Ah, so that's why 95% of my loan parts for sale were hoovered up overnight. You can't be selling PBL140 then! It's painful being stuck in the queue. Just a few hundred pounds left to sell. I sold out of that several weeks ago, just before the update saying planning permission had been confirmed and that a sale was in the works. Had I have seen that news first, I would probably have held on, it being at 12%, and I'd be happy to hold it to the end. The reason I sold out when I did was the lack of any apparent activity for three months.

The planning permission is definitely a good thing, and no news (updates) is generally good news.

SM has been on fire in the night and it still is. Illiquid my a***! I agree, just put up 5 loans for sale, 3 sold as quick as ever and the the other two took a couple of hours.

I think where the SM is at the moment is about perfect. Other than a few hard to shift loans most queues are moving fairly quickly and for a newbie's there is a fair selection of decent loans available.
However personally, how SS have acted in the last few days showing such a lack of regard for investor's have confirmed to me that I want a lot less money in this site, particularly some of the DFL's where I realise in hindsight I got far too large and given the loans are large in themselves can become very illiquid very quickly and will be the first to go bad if we have a downturn.
What I say about SS having no regard, take for example PBL085 that repaid late yesterday evening way after many of us were done for the day. Whereas if that had been MT they would have told us about the repayment and waited till the next day to credit funds whereby we all earn an extra days interest. What a great gesture if SS had done that and it would have cost them all of £1500. Make no mistake SS have only one objective to crank out as many loans as possible at as low a rate as possible and IMO so they can extract maximum value from the site in a sale or funding round. Whilst pushing for profits is all fair but when its on a short term view and never mind the casualties it time to get OUT !

Midnight is one of the busiest times of the day so some pbl085 lenders may have wanted their money back asap to take advantage of the buying opportunities and thank Ly for working late?

I don't see the problem here. Net loans of £740k is peanuts in the scheme of things If 143 actually repays (big if) then the SM will be completely empty. I hope you are right, you may well be. As I said to Dude, it may well be that I see things differently here because it's the first time I have allowed myself to be stuck with an iffy loan in a sales queue that's not moving. I'm on the side lines for now. Not too iffy, looks like worse case scenario is you may hold it until early redemption rather than default, get back involved "The borrower has asked for the redemption statement and is planning on redeeming a month prior to the original redemption date".

So are people finding about wk to 1.5wks to sell the castle? Maybe before the weekend but its dropped 100k today alone so i reckon anything listed before Friday should probably have gone now. (Guess based on how my parts listed moved down the queue on Fri/Sat - cancelled each night but would have been 80-100k nearer front if left)
