i'm surprised to see so many people who are so unhappy with a product, yet they continue to use it Constructive criticism is the way things get improved.

The extra interest payments was an April Fools joke. I have to agree... but if the mods let those stars through I'll **** myself! Please report posts rather than quoting them, it makes our lives a lot easier.
Thanks,
RM

i'm surprised to see so many people who are so unhappy with a product, yet they continue to use it Many people like myself have been steadily reducing our exposure to this platform over the last 6 months or so because of repeated mess ups and falling confidence. If you wish to be an apologist for a Premier League cock up like this then fine but most rational people would agree it is unacceptable. Will you condemn today's debacle?

We should have been allowed to keep the overpayment as a small token of gratitude as loyal customers. Or recompense for the hassle of redoing all the month end / FY end accounts again. It's a pretty small amount, vs the discontent it will cause. And yeah, this sort of accounting mess, followed by a snowpake job on the transaction register (see also FCs similar approach) isn't going to scream 'professionalism' at the FCA audit team.

However, occasionally they let themselves down badly and then we have every right to complain and let them know about it.
I have no issue returning the overpaid interest (I've just sold £3.30 of something or other on that nice SM they have and my balance is rightfully back at zero).
EDIT - Much thread crossing again!

They took 17p from my account - I forgot I had an 11% loan and decided to sell it as there's enough 12%'ers for me. Perhaps they should've let us keep the extra if it was below a certain amount. After all, it was Lendy's error, not ours. I've had to withdraw my balance so I can transfer a nice round number back.

I've no need to condemn it, its not something i'll lose sleep over, the problem has been corrected and I promptly received an email telling me why there is now a negative balance on my account. I'll go back to my original post now, as it seems you are very unhappy with the platform premier league cock up, why not list all your parts on the SM and withdraw your money? Problem sorted.

No. The problem has not been corrected. It was just made more complicated. I never held any loan parts with less than 12% and yet my balance was reduced. This is criticism; constructive or not; but definitely not moaning.

Well if I was in your shoes, i would be sending an email to Lendy, as I doubt anyone here is going to resolve the problem for you, and certainly not me.

Are we expected to trawl back through our interest transactions to figure out which ones they've modified? I've already reconciled my account for the month. They should have put in adjustment transactions. I wouldn't imagine that the FCA would be particularly happy with this kind of accounting.

All loan parts were fully paid for in good faith with what Saving Stream Lendy claimed were cleared funds on Saturday.
As the error is of their own making, it seems to me up to them to correct it in a manner that does not inconvenience their customers.
The easiest ways for them to correct this in an acceptable manner for my own account would be one of: - credit my account with an amount equal to the small negative balance "as a gesture of goodwill". - re-write history again, making it so that my most recent loan part fund is for an amount equal to what the statement NOW shows as the balance of the account just before that transaction. - remove the restriction on selling loans purchased on the SM within 7 days to clear a negative balance (due to the system changes a month ago, this is now only necessary for PM purchases), giving me the ability to reverse the excess portion of that transaction myself.
If a similar situation had resulted from an error on MY part, I would of course jump through the various hoops that their systems impose (e.g. finding a different loan part to sell, and seeking to fix up any resulting "untidiness" in the portfolio at a later date, or transferring additional funds in from an external bank account).
However, for this specific situation - they broke it, so they can fix it.

Have they stopped fiddling now?
My balance has gone down again since I last checked an hour or so ago. The odd number of pence on my account has changed so I know there's been further fiddling.
I've no idea if it's right now, that's what bothers me very slightly - because I was only in 3 sub 12% loans but the change in my figures seems to suggest others figures have been altered, because the difference of 1% over 1 month in just 3 loans with fairly small stakes wouldn't seem to amount to very much. All my other loans and 90%+ of my investment is at 12% yet I seem to have had quite a few quid knocked off.
Guess we'll have to trust that they've corrected it properly.
