When writing a post, if I type the three letter acronym for 'What's This For' then it comes up as ' ' when my post is committed.
Try it for yourself.
I wonder which other words and acronyms are similarly treated and when this draconian rule became inflicted upon us.
So much for freedom of speech!

Be aware that, although the forum software automatically censors certain terms within posts, the uncensored original can still be seen by the Mod team so that action can be taken as necessary.

..... Now that is a red rag to a bull comment ..... perhaps I could cut n paste an urban slang dictionary into a post and see how many ########CENSORED###### 's I get! Obviously I wouldn't hit the 'post' button since I would just be performing research......

What about links to sites that use the .#####CENSORED##### domain? (rare I know) I'll try http://world.#####CENSORED##### http://ftw.#####CENSORED##### Now that's interesting, the Email notification includes what you typed, not a single # in sight

A cunning plan spoilt by the execution What I do find strange is that the ####CENSORED#### kicks in on the board but not on the Email notifications .... It's perfectly OK to 'deeply offend' me with bad language by Email but I'm not allowed to read the same words on the forum. I can understand it is a matter of timing but if protection of the forum is the aim surely the Emails should have the same content since the Emails show the forum details

So every time I see #####CENSORED##### in a post, my brain will translate it as a three letter acronym - or worse - a four letter word.
A rose by any other name would still smell as bad.
