I'm not sure if it's my bad luck or what but there seem to have been more auctions this week that a few days after closing and very close to the time limit just don't happen. There was even one that stated the company applying got a better deal from their bank! What's that about?

I think you are just unlucky .. maybe it's the ones that run for the full 7 days, or get down to MBR or something? By the time the rates get that low I am usually not interested.
I have seen two or three fail, but that was usually quite early on, and often due to FC listing errors. One today though (64781 maybe?) .. 'didn't need the money yet, will re-list in 2 weeks' .. hmm, so why list in the first place?!

My "available funds" keep increasing over the last week or so, but it's not interest rolling in, it's loan after loan being rejected. I'm seeing far too much money tied up to without benefit. Borrowers seem to be treating FC as if the auction is simply a method of getting a quote for a loan, maybe try later if they don't like it. Are others noticing this, or is it just the loans that I'm picking ?

Yes noticing this, although not as funds piling up because I keep flinging them back out into newer auctions. If you can go and check the excuse/reasons for loan cancellation (find the loan via My Bids/Rejected/Payments tab) you'll see why they are claimed to have failed. There's quite a range of reasons, some more annoying than others. One was :- "Lender has found funding internally", what they just pulled some cash out of their ass-ets?  Quite a few "lender has seen the rate and decided to relist later in the year when they actually need the money..." You just have to hope some of them stick. |
