I received an email last (Good) Friday from an FS Director:-
"an update will be posted on this *loan over the weekend, which is our normal practice."

Just kidding. You do need to be patient and trust in the platform to deliver. If you don't trust the platform, then bail. Good luck and happy easter.

Liz, it's got nothing at all to do with wanting the safety of the FSCS, or whether P2P is for me or not, or having patience, or trusting in the platform.
It's all to do with the very simple business practice of doing what you say you're going to do, and the little matter of keeping your Investors informed.

Since tomorrow is a BH, I'd say FS have another 24 hours -- or maybe even 36 -- until the lack of an update would mean they won't have done what they said they would.

We can but hope that the FCA will ensure very strict standards regarding timely reporting and accurate information.
These P2Ps are in Financial Services and must adhere to the stringent standards essential when handling investments and peoples money.

Most of us are old & ugly enough to know exactly what "light touch" means, and how it ends up.
Several Updates on FS as I type, thank you FS.
EDIT - The "FCA Director in this area" would seem to be utterly clueless about their responsibilities if they even think "light touch" is appropriate for P2P.
They shouldn't even be a Director with that potential stance; filing forms they'd be dangerous. IMHO.
