In my opinion some P2P-- ( though TBF at least MT seem honest and want to do the right thing) would be hilarious, if it wasn't just pixxing away our hard earned money . Opps somebody has run away with the Ferrari -- darn where has that boat gone to !!? Course the money will be here tomorrow, I just don't know which tomorrow and how much. Yes silly of course we have first claim, well after the insolvency practitioner and the lawyers and those other pesky IP's but don't worry we have a personal guarantee from that bloke in that obscure overseas tax haven to fall back on. Of course it will pay back in 6 months just not the first or second or third 6 months! What did you think LTV meant ? ---- LOSS TO VALUE you dummy. Are you financially illiterate or wot mate ? The borrower is a nice bloke so it's not his fault his dog ate the cheque. Yes the bond has been listed --- when?-- well we don't know -- what sort of question is that anyway ?! Of course we are on top of things . The surveyor values this medieval castle on a flood plain in the middle of a nuclear reclaimation site below sea level near Hartlepool at £20 million GDV for a Mediterranean type experience hotel and holiday chalet complex. The developer has extensive experience successfully creosoting sheds on the Isle of Man, so an ideal background to take this on. It is the value of the underlying asset we focus on remember not the project itself. Fill your boots on this one lads & lassies !!

But I do wonder what 'threats' / if any have been made if the targets are not met.

The problem is MT impose these conditions yet take no action when they’re broken. It’s a bit like MT says “do X by Y, or else” then the borrower says “or else what” and MT says “or else we’ll give you more time and/or change the conditions”. It’s like being threatened by a pot of jelly  |
