Still no sign of the new & improved loan book. Wondering whether this will be a never-ending 'improvement' cycle such that we never get to see it again?

I expect it'll get released along with the API. FC is long on promises and short on delivery / follow up. Oh, and the 'whole loans for all', of course. What have I forgotten, seems like thee was more .. Gosh I'll have to change my tag to 'older grumpy'.

Still no sign of the new & improved loan book. Wondering whether this will be a never-ending 'improvement' cycle such that we never get to see it again? I have almost never downloaded the loan book. If I did, my copy would immediately become out of date and would have to be used with such caution that I wouldn't really value it. So I would down load another, up to date copy. In no time I would have dozens of copies. I might want to keep some of the older copies because of the work (eg reformatting) that I had done on them. It would become a morass of files. Other sites find ways to put such data online by allowing the user to choose which columns to display, which to sort on, which to search on etc. Perhaps I worry too much - I'm from a generation that was always deleting files in order to save space.

It only changes daily and it's only a megabyte, so you can save a million copies on a modern disc. That's quite a few years. 8>. It would help if they'd tag it with the date though. A version number would be helpful too, so you knew which columns to expect.

Due to be back up and running week commencing 7th July. Supposedly been a rejig of data sets behind it - all of which need to be properly tested. Fingers crossed it all works.

I use it to keep track of loans I'm not invested in and whether they go late - so I don't accidentally buy them later. Admittedly it means downloading daily, making note if a loan is late and keeping this - but this is how my tracking spreadsheet is set up, so not much work!

Yes a 'was this loan ever late and if so how often and for how long' column would be a big plus .. it's about the only thing you can't work out from the current snapshot. You can, of course, always read the comments on any loan part offered for sale, where 'late' usually (but not always) gets a mention.

I see the FAQ ( under 'help') has been updated .. I.e. they changed the date. The message is the same .. No forecast, no details of what was 'necessary'. 8<. All the communications skills, and transparency, of a charcoal briquette.

I wouldn't expect anything before next week. As per my previous comment, on emailing and asking when it would be ready, was told that FC was aiming for week starting 7th (so next week).

Well - it seems to be up and running again, just the link from the Statistics page is missing. If you want to access it (and no guarantee that it is correct), you can download through www.fundingcircle.com/loanbook (mod - please remove this if not appropriate)

Downloaded and looks to be in the same format and up-to-date as far as I can tell. Can't see any extra info in there.

So the 'repaid' dates are still wrong (out in the middle of next year in many cases?!)?

(OK I guess there is 36 hours left, but I am not holding my breath). They may have rejigged what's behind it, but the last set of data I pulled (without using their link, which is still absent) looked a lot like the old stuff - i.e. variously 'lacking' and 'wrong'. The missing link at the bottom of the statistics page says it's 'being upgraded', but maybe they mean they are changing the innards but the output will be the same?!

Still no new loan book on the Statistics page. Just downloaded the current book, from jm72's link above, which is up to date though.
The Repaid column looks to be a simple calculation of the date loan was taken out plus duration which gives the expected final payment date. For loans repaid early it would be helpful to see the actual date on which the loan was fully repaid although I'm not sure what use I would have for it.

You need the actual repaid date if you want to do any sensible calculation of mortality rates (default rates). If you have 4 loans and one goes defaulted half way through, that might look like 1/4 or (more cunning) 1/7. When you discover that the three 'successfully repaid' were ACTUALLY repaid at the end of month 1, suddenly the death rate looks rather worse. Rather more like 100%. Currently the numbers are a bit like dividing country's deaths by births, ignoring emigrants. 8>.
I have asked for the right repaid date several times in the last 18 months. I am, in future, going to 'save my breath for cooling my coffee' (or save my electrons for some other worthy purpose .. whatever), since FC don't even acknowledge the problem. This 'loan book upgrade' (which has had it out of action for a month now?) has no published purpose, plan, timescale, or anything else of use .. maybe they'll fix the 'repaid' date issue, but if so it'd be nice to tell us. Frankly I think they have proved so bad on delivery / meeting committments that they've just stopped making any... too embarrassing when they miss.
If you go to their 'help' page, and look at announcements (or is it FAQ) you can watch the loan book date get changed every two weeks, and that's about all.
