The recent dramatic upturn in the secondary markets at Ly, MT, AC and even a recent larger offering on FC not filling after a number of days has occurred at roughly the same time as comments in the press about annual housing prices being flat overall and even small decease in some areas. Also cash has been pilled into RS, not property, at stupid rates Coincidence or linked? I think they may be linked.

And yet the press isn't all negative, e.g. www.newsroom.barclays.com/r/3482/new_barclays_research_reveals_top_property_investmentAlthough 6.1% over 4 years is much less than people have got used to

MT have just raised £5m on the PM in a week all on property so I don't think there's a flight from property yet.

House prices go up and down, but in longer term they go up. I don't think these two are linked. Can't imagine many investors redeploying their funds from property to something paying such ridiculous rates. Some banks and BS pay better interest than RS. The cash poured into RS must be coming from different type of investors, not from somebody selling their Ly/Col/MT/FS loans. I'm very curious why people investing in 2.2% loans?
