FYI, Huddle are still promoting their eye-opening 20% (!!) cashback offer (maximum £1000 for a £5000 investment) for the first 100 "founding members" to sign up and then lend within 30 days. Not sure how many places are still open (my account number suggests perhaps not too many) See huddlecapital.com/

I think I've seen this bit before "Huddle Capital is an Appointed Representative of Rebuilding Society" anyone got an idea what this means in practice? Was thinking of signing up, but what are their loans like, presume all unsecured SME's, what's the deal flow like?

I think they're operating under ReBS' existing FCA authorisation, presumably to get going quickly. There is only 1 loan currently, which I suspect would have appeared on Ablrate had Huddle (aka. ACF / APF !) not decided to cut out the middle-man...

Just signed up, apparently I'm not approved yet so I can't log in - message received “we will be in contact with you to assess your requirements”
Ugh – don’t want my requirements assessed thank you and I’m currently away so they’ll have a job getting hold of me – not for me I think. Extremely clunky website too.

Growth Street also operate under appointed representative status (from Resolution Compliance). This post from nesako may explain why platforms that operate under such regimes do not (can not easily) engage with the forum: p2pindependentforum.com/post/188999/thread

Extremely clunky website too. It only took them an hour or so to "approve" my account. It's basically the Ablrate platform software in a different colour (without the debit card transfer option).

Oh yes, you're right, my account has now been approved - wonder if I'm one of the 'lucky' 100. I'll have a look around later. ABL is not a platform I'm invested with so don't know much about them, did consider along with FS at one time but went for Collateral instead!

Is the sm like ABL rather than at par?
Potentially 100k for the promotion seems a bit crazy to me.

The platform looks identical to ABL except that on the SM there is no structure (i.e. interest or amortising) pull down list. This was added a few months back (at my request), so I'm guessing that Huddle have a slightly older version. The Category has the following selections: Aircraft* Asset finance Real estate finance Commodity trade finance* Marine* Secured loan Unsecured loan * in common with ABL. ABL also has Capital equipment & property. Make of that what you will but of course with only one loan currently filling the SM is empty.

Extremely clunky website too. Got the same message too - like you, don't particularly like having to wait for someone to call me to discuss my account and 'assess my requirements'. Also now got an email from the CEO whose name is simply 'Terry'. Call me old-fashioned but I'd like to see his Surname too... Don't think I'll be going any further with my application.

Doesn't that email begin "Dear xxxxx, My name is Terry F*****...."?
