What a beauty. The perfect combination - 12% + 365 days + small loan.
This one will fly off the shelves in minutes for the next 2 to 3 months.
The problem is we are unlikely to get more than about £600 each. But quality like this is rare these days and you've got to be grateful for what you get.

Are you really still basing the quality of the loan on how likely you think it is to sell on the secondary market? I would have thought the current situation with over £6m on the SM would be something of a wakeup call that liquidity isn't guaranteed and you may need to be prepared to hold to term. Also this loan is starting out small but with an average of £400k per month tranches to draw down how liquid will it remain?

I agree that once subsequent tranches are released it may grow into an unshiftable monster. But at first it will be very liquid so I think one to buy into and then sell out of once further tranches are advanced. Could well provide a couple of months of 12% with low risk and almost instant access, if desired.

I hope it won't be liquid - but £18 will buy me a big bottle of vodka with which to drown my sorrows if my investment strategy fails and I suffer losses. So it's a win/win situation in a sense

Well, as regards this loan I expect there will be about 1500 investors on launch and most people here will be following my lead on this one!

Is that vodka for me?
It's a kind thought but I don't think I will be buying it off you anytime soon because I'm feeling quite confident with my strategy at the moment. And I'm also confident I am making the right decision with this particular loan. However my position is under constant review because it's fast moving here in the P2P investing world.

This to me does look like a very good loan. Current market value is higher than original loan (granted more tranches will be needed and at the point of sending the builders in value will begin to drop as they start smashing the place up). I'm struggling to see why 12% on this one (what i assume Lendy are seeing as highest risk of their portfolio). Is it because (it sounds like to me that) the borrower has been doing this for someone else as an employee previously and now he's going to have an attempt on his own and that makes him unproven?

Just launched. At least £2000 allocation, with the dregs available on the SM briefly. 853 lenders indicated.

There may also be an element of pricing to liquidity rather than to risk. With even other 12% loans having become substantially less liquid on the SM, Lendy may no longer be as confident about shifting this AND THE LATER TRANCHES at a lower interest rate.

It keeps the recyclers at bay who simply want to churn old for new and so reduce the allocations we get!

Very surprised at only 850 punters for this one. In a way it's slightly worrying.
I asked for less than £2k so obviously got my full allocation.
For now I'm very pleased to have added this one to my portfolio in terms of diversity. I sold a few bits in other loans to fund it (that I've listed for sale in the last 2 or 3 days) and had no difficulty selling enough. SM has been moving today, albeit still quite glacially.
