For a lazy person, and I am very lazy, is there any advantage to investing direct rather than through the Investment Trust. Obviously the investment trust sits on a premium of 3% at the moment, but that apart is there any real advantage.
With the IT I have no cash drag and can reinvest dividends immediately, and of course I can stick the FC IT in my ISA for no charge other than a small trading fee.
So, in short, is investing direct worth the effort?
