There are also a lot of current lenders, and lending isn't fast for them.
Edit: Also new ISA offering has brought in more funds from existing lenders.

They could help this by offering a fee free sellout period. I'd happily sell out my loans if it wasn't for the 1% fee. No idea why there's a queue to lose money with Zopa!
