Interesting to see the lenders who spend most of their time complaining about the loans on here also complaining about not being able to invest in a loan. I spend about 20 minutes per day on FS and this site as I have better things to do. My waking day is about 16 to 18 hours so hardly "most of their time". Don't assume that others spend their time as you do.
42. FS must be gratified that at least one person approves of their conduct in the rather notorious Whitehaven loan. I should give it a rest if I were you, your are getting too close to this ptop lark, plenty of room on the 3% ers if you dont fancy funding secure though

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

Yes, it would've gone quickly enough even without bonuses - but probably spread across more investors and cost FS far less. I sometimes wonder how thoughtful FS staff really are when making these decisions. They're doing the same too (offering needless bonuses) on tomorrow's " NI property - Further Loan - Partly Paid Down (9379042407)". At just £220k with an LTV of 29% (despite the 49% displayed) and most of this scheme already having repaid bang on time, it's going to fill in seconds. It's effectively a renewal of 2316177211, so there's already going to be the better part of £200k wanting to get back in! Not sure I agree it's 29% LTV, in fact I'm not sure the LTV can be trusted any more. My reasoning, is that the first £60k loan should be paid back today, but it isn't. I'm sure the lenders in the £60k loan don't mind, but the correct order of repayment is wrong. The risk with today's loan is that FS use the same method of partial repayment when the third loan is up for renewal. I can't imagine that happening, but who knows?

You're probably right. I only scanned the email briefly as I'm not looking to reinvest. The NI loan was the last I was waiting on to repay before transferring out my entire FS IFISA (assuming Ablrate open for transfers in this week, as billed).
That just leaves my collection of increasingly aged and decrepit locked-in FS loans (in my main account) which doubtless will take years to conclude...

I managed to get some NI loan, to my delight I am earning 12.5% I didn't even realise there was a bonus. i do wonder where FS pluck their rates and bonus rates from.

Lucky you, I've already got increasingly aged and decrepit locked-in loans in my IFISA! I think it's "better luck next year" for me.

The borrower has made a partial repayment of greater than £60k. In the very unlikely situation that the loan defaults, with no recovery, then the first loan holders could claim they should have been paid back today.

I also enquired on how long the loan took to complete and was told 38secs...(as mentioned higher up)..I missed out too..and was poised ready. I think the only consolation for those that missed out will be the likelihood it may not run the full 6 months as its a bridging loan and I cant believe the borrower will want to pay any more of the eye watering interest off the profit on the house than necessary..bots win this time but we all live to fight another day

I haven't got a bot .... and I (just) got in with a moderate punt (no bonus). I also think this will repay well before the term ends.
