The Times is running articles on the P2P marketplace this week in its business pages. Today's (Monday 04/09) is on pages 36/37 under the headline "Backers 'in dark over lack of transparency' in peer-to-peer loans", following a page 35 article over Ratesetter's recent issues with failed businesses and lending via other P2P platforms.
Little will, I suspect, be news to members of this forum, but some of the comments and criticisms of the 3 major lenders (FC, Zopa & Ratesetter) may be news to the wider public. The lack of common industry practice in labelling debts as bad and complaints about FC's property loans are specifically highlighted.
Tomorrow's article will be "Are peer-to-peer lendes really banks?"
