Looks like the SM has frozen overnight ? Is that right ? chris - could you have a quick look and re-start if necessary ? Thanks. Seems okay to me, it's cycled through every loan in the past 23 minutes. Is there a specific issue to investigate? Ah ok, thanks for checking - very promptly too ! I always see some overnight activity on my account , but I guess it has just been particularly inactive on this occasion. No worries

Got the payment. Overall I am quite pleased with the outcome. If this is the final payment then overall I got 65% recovery on my investment in these loans which was more than I was expecting The last payment I received as 23rd Dec. When did you receive a payment? It depends which of the I** loans you hold. If, like me, you only hold #437 (Neilston) , you won't have received anything . AFAIK you should have received something if you held any of the others. This is because AC recovered some cash via a sale of the properties , but none of that cash pertained to #437, which remains unsold and of negligible value I believe.

I made a withdrawal from Cash account to my nominated bank account early yesterday morning. The cash didn't arrive in my bank account last night. So I phoned first thing this morning and they checked the transaction and said all was well, but that it can take up to 2 working days not including the day of submission, (and to be fair it says this on the website). So on that basis I should get it by Monday at the latest.
He said that the accounts dept were busy but I would hopefully get the cash today, if not then Monday. So not as quick as usual but no cause for any alarm.

Authorisation codes are not being sent to my phone - very frustrating . Can't do a thing. This has never happened before ? Not sure what you need them for, but I've had to ask for them to be resent each time recently (last week or so) as what should be the first time it just doesn't happen. The repeat request comes through almost immediately though. It's not on logging in that I'm having the issue - I might do at some point but I don't think I'll need another code for quite a while yet, as I always tick the 30 day box and don't delete my AC cookies . I had a few attempts at selling at a discount, and so authorisation codes were required each time. Like you, to start with I didn't get an authorisation code but was able to request a "resend". However after a couple of these, I wasn't receiving any authorisation codes at all (on my iphone) - even the "resends". No idea why. Regarding logging on I have the 30 day box ticked so am only rarely asked for an authorisation code when logging on .

I think you're right but I wonder what incentivises them to do it when so many other platforms have demonstrably not done so? In the past, they put their own money into every loan. This for me is the best incentive to align platform interests with lenders. By more recent communications, I am no longer sure this is the case??So what makes you doubt that BC still have "skin in the game" ?

Having a 5k minimum, and therefore presumably a smaller number of clients, must surely reduce their admin costs which will obviously help profits along. Fewer emails, phones calls and correspondence to deal with. Also I think that on average those investing larger sums in P2P have more experience and a better grasp of the product - again leading to fewer enquiries and admin. OK - that may be debatable .

How would anyone stumble onto the .eu site in the first place ? I'm assuming that the vast majority of users have a "favourites" link to AC, which will obviously access the correct .co.uk website ?

P2P lending is the only thing I have made money in, I tried all kinds of shares and indices for many years and only ever lost. It's hard to understand how anyone could have lost money in 2019 by investing in Index Funds ? However, that most certainly does not mean that this year or any future year will also be profitable.

OK , well using this logic, how about simply waiting for shares to "drop by 30% to 50%" and then immediately investing in them ? You don't know when it happens. What do you do with the cash until then? It is a common strategy to invest this way. You need to keep some free cash and you need to overcome the natural reflex not to invest in something that is nose diving. I agree - my comment above what somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Very often it's a mistake to buy something when it's nose-diving, as you say. However , it can be worth considering buying any such share after it has visibly formed a bottom on the price chart and begun to climb again, but unfortunately the timing of this is really hard to gauge (guess?)

The problem with shares is that at some point they drop by 30% to 50%. Now that’s fine if you’re young and got time for the portfolio to recover and grow (which it nearly always does). If you’re in retirement it’s a big problem. youd have to be pretty unlucky to lose 30% of your diversified p2p portfolio. OK , well using this logic, how about simply waiting for shares to "drop by 30% to 50%" and then immediately investing in them ?

Er, should I have received an email? Cos I haven’t. Yup, I received mine at about 3pm yesterday, titled "New FCA Regulations". Am I allowed to cut and paste it , or is that against the rules here ? Or I could PM you , if you want ? Is that permitted ?
