Dear administrators and forum members,
We would like to introduce our new platform –
www.collateraluk.com (Collateral) which we have recently had a soft launch and would now like to take the opportunity for forum members to join our site and give their feedback either through this forum or directly to info@collateraluk.com
Whilst this is our first post, we have used the comments, recommendations and requests from this forum into account whilst building our platform, which has already provided us with a wealth of valuable information as to what investors/lenders are looking for in a P2P platform.
Having only launched the platform in the last couple of weeks, we have only notified a handful of people in order to get some initial feedback.
We made the decision to create a p2p platform in 2015 whilst we were building our bespoke loan management software system and feel that we now have the functionality that is required to take it to market and offer investors the opportunity to invest in our pre-funded loans.
To give you a brief background on Collateral, the company was incorporated in 2014 and started lending funds in 2015 via buy back agreements, pawn loans and small bridging loans which were introduced via a small network of IFA’s and introducers.
One thing that we have noticed is that there appears to be a shortage of investment opportunities and we plan on providing a variety of investment opportunities across a variety of asset classes.
In order to satisfy the anticipated lender appetite, we have a number of partners lined up to provide high quality loans in a variety of asset classes, from high performance vehicles, established property developers, high-end watch and jewellery retailers and art/antique specialists. As we grow our network the choice of loans will increase.
All loans on the platform are pre-funded by Collateral. All of the assets on the platform are either taken into our possession and stored safely in safety deposit boxes or secured by way of a legal charge on property. Loans to companies are also secured with a debenture.
We, like many P2P platforms have interim permissions from the FCA, our full permissions application has been applied for.
We welcome your comments and feedback and I am sure you will have more questions and will therefore keep a close eye on this thread.
Kind regards,
The Collateral Team
