I cannot fathom they were acting in good faith when this happened. I can only conclude that some form of bribery or corruption was involved to get that notice removed.
The FCA doesn't give a about you, and that's the cold hard truth. Bang ON. [Thumbs up emoticon here ]

anything to update on this farce ? looking back through my disaster of a portfolio I am trying to justify my investments by reading all the FS sales pitch and updates thinking well why not have a punt. now 2/3/4 years on with some of these loans I can see just what a fool I was trusting any of this fintech p2p BS. rocky1, Whitehaven in particular I believe there was blatant lying, regarding having witnessed the project started & progressed/frames ordered, or somesuch? If there are no convictions from blatant and provable lying then the FCA & Police really are more useless than we already think.

And it was surprisingly quick & easy to transfer my entire wedge out today. Thanks NS&I! (Marcus Bank, for the time being, if you must know. ) I take it you closed the account then since unless you keep £500 in it closes automatically. I can't decide whether to take the last 500 out or not. Presumably we will still be able to access tax statements come April.
Hmm... To close or not to close, that is the question...
Closed it completely carol167, I don't see rates improving anytime soon nor any advantage in keeping it open, but wot do I know?!! 😁

Biden apparently has no great liking for the UK, he's inordinately "proud of his Irish roots." Nothing wrong with that of course, but if it sub/consciously skews his decisions, " We have a problem Houston!"

The saddest and most frightening aspect of this decision is the clear indication (yet again) of the level of business/commercial acumen possessed by those in Government & Quasi-Government. There isn't any, they don't have a clue, most have never worked in the private sector. The experiment failed in the USA, but I often wonder how we'd fare with Alan Sugar as PM? (Or anyone of similar ilk) 'twould be interesting, wouldn't it? From www.rishisunak.com/about-meI have been fortunate to enjoy a successful business career. I co-founded a large investment firm, working with companies from Silicon Valley to Bangalore. Then I used that experience to help small and entrepreneurial British companies grow successfully. From working in my mum’s tiny chemist shop to my experience building large businesses, I have seen first-hand how politicians should support free enterprise and innovation to ensure our future prosperity. I stand corrected! 😁

Rather than just do the basic day job properly and police the sector effectively, it's good to see that the FCA have their priorities right:-
"The finance sector watchdog bought “gaming” computer screens and racing car-style office chairs for its staff to use at home in a £416,000 splurge during the first lockdown.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which regulates tens of thousands of businesses, was among the most lavish spenders uncovered in an investigation by The Times."

@ iRobot As we all very well know, it's "Jobs for the boys" in the merry go round world of "Share the trough, plenty of room for more snouts, legality is on our side and we can do what we like with impunity" Administrators and Receivers.

Online. It's the ONLY game in town. (Totally aware that not everybody uses or has access to online.)

It will come as no surprise to those who have read my musings rants on here over the years, that I don't trust any of the "Professionals", not one iota. Sure, there's good ones, but many have hidden behind their "I'm a Professional, trust me, I am beyond reproach" cloak since time immemorial, and they'll happily shaft you. Cynical, moi? Caveat Emptor!!!

I studiously avoided "Agreeing" to the new Ts & Cs.
Of course "Agreeing" was setup by MT in such a sneaky way that it was VERY easy to inadvertently click and "Agree" to the new Ts & Cs after logging in, if you weren't paying attention.
I suddenly discovered several months ago that I seem to have indeed inadvertently "Agreed", however I haven't given it much thought since. Until now.
Does anyone know if there are any new Clauses detrimental to Investors other than the afore mentioned Secondary Market additions?
Have MT's Fees etc in wind-down always been in their previous Ts & Cs?

It's not anywhere near comparing apples with apples though, is it?
The Collateral situation is very different, VASTLY worse than any of the other Platform failures.
