I use Avast security software and it has just explained to me that it has "safely aborted connection on collateraluk.com because it was infected with JS:Downloader-FFA [Tr]]". There are many possible explanations for this sort of message, apart from the obvious; Avast may be wrong, for example.
I've flagged this to Collateral so they can take whatever steps they need to.
I have also scanned my machine for malware anyway...

Morning,
It looks like the new updates tab was causing problems with certain AV software picking it up as a concern, but it is just a false positive. We have scanned all the servers and they have all come back clear. This is something that we do routinely.
Many thanks,
Gordon

So, another example of "fake news".

Collateral Rep you may need to be somewhat more pro-active on the issue. None of our PC's will permit us to login because of it, and non reader's of this forum will be even more alarmed by the warnings from the anti-virus software. Just an opinion.

I don't use Avast myself but there is usually an option to allow an exception when this sort thing happens.

I don't use Avast myself but there is usually an option to allow an exception when this sort thing happens. Yep - go to Settings (bottom left corner) - Components - Web Shield (customise) - Script exclusions. Then add the https Collateral URL. Still, I agree this should be resolved as a priority.

In deed, as I am well aware. But my point; how many non readers of this forum will do that as opposed to those that will take the warning an leave the site? Not good for Collateral's business. Just an opinion.

I believe there is an option on the Avast site to report a false positive so suggest someone does that. It may not be something that Collateral can fix themselves if there is no actual problem.
