No children either (except 2 genetic children from my identical twin) All the biological benefits without the nappies . So happily a completely stress free life. I used to be bit of serial dater that took a lot of time to work through hundreds of possible companions. In midlife crisis days. Now not working for several years and enjoying simpler pleasures. As with most people who have plenty of leisure time an resources to enjoy it you find time passes far too quickly. I enjoy holidays, gardening, computing long walks on the beach WHOOPS slipping back to dating profile days again I do also of course enjoy discourse and stimulating debates with all the charming people ( and the occasional nut job) who contribute on this forum

I just met some old friends who appear to be eating the high protein diet. So lots of meat eggs and cheese. Trouble is they also have a "little" carbs. Boy, it doesn't work.

High protein only diet gives horrible bad breath too. Not a lot of people know that, especially the high protein eaters!

Sounds interesting.

Sounds interesting. It means you are up late at night trying to make some dosh on P2P. When you attempt to relieve the tension by taking part in less serious discussions you omit the occasional comma. That imparts an undeserved ambiguity to a walk on the beach 🏖 Sorry to disappoint. I do have several interesting stories from my >1000 dates and views on internet interpersonal relationships brokered by an intermediary. (Dating Sites)

Actually my idea of hell... Intrigued, would you say you are generally a people person outside of the dating world as well? Genuinely interested in random people and their foibles and stories?

I've worked abroad and travelled extensively and enjoyed engaging with people from all walks as life. Meeting so many charming ladies it gave a great amount of insight into relationships and the preconceptions most people have are really wrong. it also taught me a lot about how easily people are persuaded to believe what they want even if things indicate they should not. "Forbidden Planet was a poignant warning of the dangers of the "ID" We are all animals at heart.

I've just watched a TV thing about the genetics behind fatness. It seems that if you are told that you are likely to get super fat it is easy to lose weight than if you are not. Based on that logic it would seem to me that everyone should be told that they likely to get fat if they eat too much.
Who knew you could get a Professorship for writing this b@@@@cks

Well it's natural that some people get fat easier than others. Maybe the added pressure of getting told you're going to get super fat motivates you more to not get fat? Reverse psychology in a sense?

Obesity has increased by multiple of 10 over the last ?? years (can't remember). Nobody would ever suggest that genetically the human race has been forced into obesity by evolution? Fat people are greedy and lazy. I on the other hand am a perfect human being. Well I think so!

I just remembered I went for one of those health MOT's! My score was 10.3 which is in the at risk zone. The nurse asked me various questions and did various tests. She asked me I smoked, no She asked me if I drink, 4 units a day 5 days a week (a lie) BMI in but only just! My collesteral was 4.3 (low) Blood pressure 110 over summit, good. Pulse 62 no problems. Exercise? Exercise a Springer spaniel for 3 hours a day mainly on my bike. All the other blood tests came back okay.
She tried lowering various numbers to see if she could lower my at risk. Alcohol to nil- no difference same score. Cholesterol-no difference Blood pressure-still no difference... obviously. Lower my BMI still the same score. Lowered my pulse no difference Eventually she found what was wrong with me. She reduced my age from 62 to 60 that got me down to 10, out of the at risk zone. Unlike obesity I really can't do anything about that!

No it's not easier for some people to get fat than others. IF some people can get more calories out of food than others it would obviously only be at the margins. And even then it would just mean they needed less food. Unless you're saying that some people can get 150 calories out of food which only contains a 100 calories?

- lifetime obese patients given bariatric surgery to force them to eat less, become slim.
