Is it a sign of how misogynist Sadiq Khan is that he forced her out, I've been told by a friend in London this morning that had the commissioner been male the force would be on strike by now because of "political interference"
Same friend also says that Khan has assured Basu the job is his.

If what your friend is saying is true then would it not support the case that she should go as she has clearly failed to adequately address any misogynistic tendencies within the ‘force’?

Plenty of feminists would suggest Cressida Dick has shown a firm track record of internalized misogyny herself.

My gut feeling is this has nothing to do with misogyny.
While the cover up on the murder of the innocent Jean Charles de Menezes is business as usual, a cover up on the Bozo parties is political so Sadiq won't be having that.
In our current corrupt country where politicians are 'above the law', the next Met commissioner should be appointed independently and not by Sadiq/Priti.

Do you have any examples of things that have gone well? The link above shows that she is happy to protect her own arse and other senior officers regardless of sex.

Examples of when she has minimised concerns raised by females regarding safeguarding issues stemming from misogyny within the Met? Like referring to "bad apple" (Wayne Couzens), ignoring whistleblower reports regarding WhatsApp groups including abusive material targetting females (Paige Kimberly) etc. That's hardly mutually exclusive with putting the Met's reputation above all else (per Daniel Morgan report). Not sure I understand your point. Edit: article on it here: www.independent.co.uk/voices/cressida-dick-metropolitan-police-sarah-everard-b1930564.html

Poison Chalice . I have yet to see anyone make a go of it. SK has his own agenda. Can't see why Mayor of London should have any input , its up to the Cabinet Office IMO. Being a policeman at any level in a sh*te job.

Khan is just jonesing for Twitter likes.
