*** Please visit my blog for full coverage of the trial *** The investigative court reporting blog mouseinthecourt is crowdfunding to enable us to provide coverage of the criminal trial brought by the Financial Conduct Authority against the directors of Collateral (UK) Ltd. The trial is expected to start on April 11th April 17th 2023. We are delighted that Transparency Task Force’s head of Investigative Reporting Alex Varley-Winter, in a freelance capacity, has agreed to cover the first week for us. Automatic reporting restrictions rightly prevent us and others from speculating about what might be said at trial, or what evidence might be adduced. What we can say is that contemporaneous reporting of the trial is likely to not only be of interest to those who used the Collateral platform, but will also provide a unique insight for others into how the FCA investigates and prosecutes a case. Further details, and how to donate can be viewed on the gofundme website. Please feel free to PM me or respond below if you have any questions, thank you.

I've just made a £35 donation to this good cause (via 'GoFundMe').
Can I encourage as many people as possible to also make a donation? Alas I lost out when Collateral collapsed. And - by the way - my thanks to Mousey ('Mouse in the Court') for all his continuing good work.

Can I also urge everybody to donate to this worthy casue. Whilst 'the lings' and I have, over the past five years, put a comprehensive picture together about what happened to our money our sources have quite naturally been limited. We have gained information from the FCA, public databases, Courts, Parlaimentary bodies and departments, independent bodies, social media and we have spent many hundreds of hours trawling legislation and the internet so that the dots can be joined. What is conspicuous in its absence is the other side of the story. Coverage of the Trial will be essential since it could well expose the final pieces of the jigsaw. When the Trial is over the Col saga should be nearing an end and the FCA should start answering the hundreds of compalints that it has been deferring since day 1. As you know 'the lings' and my efforts have been since day 1 to see money returned to all Col investors and whilst I have a fair amount of experience in Court procedures I cannot be an impartial 'court reporter'. Having the full picture can only help the cause and give pointers as to the best way forwards. So please help Mousey in his fundraising.

I never invested in Collateral - I almost did but a number of technical concerns about their website (I'm sure they're somewhere on the forum) put me off. However I've also thrown a symbolic handful of coins into this, as the prospect of witnessing at least one P2P charlatan come to justice is just far too tempting to resist.

Done. Keep up the good work on behalf of those, like me, who aren't able to. Much appreciated.

Why don't you share to this post on Frank and the fb pages for Lendy, FS and MT as surely there will be more victims of Collateral who don't regularly follow this forum?

Bailey has been put in charge of overseeing the building of the gallows, so I can't see them being fit for purpose!

Thank you all for the kind donations, I'm very glad we are able to cover the first week at least. I'm also underwriting the cost of covering the second week (assuming I can find someone) so hopefully donations will continue and we can look at covering the third.
I rang Southwark Crown Court yesterday and I now understand the trial is expected to start on April 17th 2023.
