Yes, it looks like RS have a big problem today. Only the monthly market has done any meaningful loan matching today; the others have only done very few minor matches at "lend right now" rate (there's nearly always an RS "borrower offer" ready to undercut existing lender offers). RS is making quite sure existing lender money today is NOT being matched. I agree with the griller. RS have clearly suspended all lending on 1yr,3yr,5yr for some hours; the "matches last 24 hours" have not changed for a long time*. Something has broken, as no progress in the repayment run has shown since mid-morning. westonkevRS Are you busy fixing it? * edit 15:10 Just had a single 5yr match at 6%, I think.

Just called RS Customer Services and after 10 minutes of queuing, got answered.
They told me they have an IT issue, not (and I explicitly asked) a liquidity / credit issue.
Apparently it is being given top priority and they hope (but cannot guarantee) that it will be resolved shortly, hopefully latter today.
I did suggest they put up an announcement indicating what the problem is/etc on their website / social media. And the CS lady I spoke to indicated she would suggest that , especially given they (CS) seem to be getting a lot of calls.

Kevin must have a day off. He is usually quick to convey important information, which usually shuts most of us up. Astonishing that IT/Customer Services haven't got the intelligence to place a notice on the website, which would stop nearly all the repetitive enquiries.
Ed. 15:23 A few signs of life are showing now on the "last 24hour " matches.

I think I've found the cause of the problem.

I agree OG. Not one for moaning about RS but on this occasion a brief explanation on the site would have been helpful.
The monthly seems to be functioning ok now.

Huh! Lending on 5yr has cleared out up to the 6.5% in the last few minutes and my repayments have yet to be credited so I can't invest!

Lengthy repayment runs quite often stretch well into the morning on the first day of the month. It'll probably start catching up on-screen very soon; watch your repayments drip in bit by bit over the next couple of hours, then when all is done, they'll be invested as per instructions. The batch program didn't run last night, and when kick started this morning has been running slowly today. That said, the system is running correctly just behind where it should normally be. Settlements will be completed today (right now I can see monthly is complete, but not yet 5-year money). So other than tardiness, nothing financially to worry about (in fact last chance to catch a spike!) Apologies, the relevant people have been suitable embarrassed... Kevin.

They told me they have an IT issue, not (and I explicitly asked) a liquidity / credit issue. Alas no, there is no financial meltdown at RateSetter towers. Just IT running slowly, making me feel a little Zopaesque....

Apologies, the relevant people have been suitable embarrassed... Kevin. One favoured technique (prior to HR getting all sensible on us) at my previous outfit was to get the offender to wear a dunce cap, a suitably offensive t-shirt, and get them to go round the trading floor on a space hopper. Assuming that you can distract HR, try it, it's fun, at least for everybody other than the guilty party .

Thks Kev, When I spoke to CS I did actually mention to them, that IT issues re the repayment run are pretty standard at ZOPA and that is what I assumed the issue was. In this instance as you say, not a good comparable for RS. But I guess it is at least unusual at RS. Hence the concern.

I got a match in the 5Y earlier today from two early returns made yesterday afternoon. I dropped my rate to 6.2 expecting to be behind the avalanche of returns expected today. Although it has been matched it is still waiting to be formed. I expect it will get cancelled when the money arrives and the rate drops and then I will be placed at the back rather than the front of the 6.2 queue.
