Does anyone know where and under what name RCC advertise their vehicle sales? Because if they don't publicise the name of the expired VIP then they are hardly likely to sell the famous hearse, so whether we participate in this loan or not we should get to find out the mystery identity one way or the other

<snip> or a cross guarantee with other companies (e.g. AE) ? <snip> I don't think there is a major link between RCC & AE anymore. The main link was a director and SH that connected them (DLF), but he is no longer connected to AE (as SH or Director). The current 100% SH in AE (PIP) is a director at RCC, but he holds no shares in RCC. 100% Owner of AE is PIP. He is a director at RCC 100% Owner of RCC is DLF. He currently has no connection to AE

Disappointing there are people out there prepared to question the excellent Money Thing and Mr Ed Pearce. Preparations and due diligence proven to be excellent as well as the communication they provide to investors and question posers such as myself. The question in question I think the answer is Thatcher but the answer to the question has to remain private to avoid tourists and morbid interest. this loan is a cracker for 12% and I can announce hereby that I will be investing my maximum allowance as set by MT in this loan. If there are not as many fingers logged in at 4 it will make my purchases run faster and smoother and is all to my good.

Errr.. If the asset is clearly and publicly identified then the borrower won't like it, MoneyThing won't like it and the forum mods won't like it... The mods won't care if the asset is clearly identified on the MoneyThing web site, or in email communications from MT.

Not saying that MT can't be trusted (they are my current favourite platform!), but there is no harm in keeping an eye on the situation to make sure that trust isn't being abused. 100k for a non-vintage hearse is a lot of money; the fact its value is raised by a previous occupant is understandable (however morbid it may seem - lots of funny people out there with money to burn), but it does depend on the occupant. Not knowing is like investing in a lump of land with a large house... but we can't see the house (i.e. the land has little value, the house it where the money is). Can't you upload the details to the loan overview page MoneyThing ? Even if it is *** out to give us a subtle hint; like " The Q**** M*****".

Sorry, I didn't notice the ambiguity in what I wrote - what I meant was that the mods won't care ... provided it's not identified here.

If you read the details of the original RCC loans, PP was the driving force behind the establishment of RCC. He is providing a PG on the RCC stocking loans. More info on DF appears in the write ups for these loans which also make it clear that there is linkage between CLC/AE & RCC
All current RCC loans (except stocking loans - no charges at CH) are secured by a MT sub-charge over a chattels mortage between RCC (lender) and CM&M Ltd (borrower). Except the boat which is secured the same way but a different end borrower Chattels mortgages do not show up on CH against either company. Neither end borrower has any obvious connection to RCC, but are themselves linked, other than their location. There is no debenture over RCC or any reference to addition security.
Edit for accuracy the Ferrari is a direct chattel mortgage with MT, no sign of any charge over the Porsche.

Confidence in MT, their integrity, etc, etc was never in doubt, some/many/most of us were only asking for more information with which to be able to make an informed investment decision, which MT didn't need to provide because they & we knew this Loan would shift anyway.
I still have faith in MT and Good Luck to everyone, but I personally require more info.
