Stevet was right, £1.2m is back
I wonder if they wanted to go home late last night and can't leave the new website unattended?

You have to be in "list" mode rather than marketing pictures mode !

So, from "nothing is yet decided" yesterday afternoon, to a quick implementation this morning - me thinks there's one coming
And if it's Hull or Essex, then there could be blood on the floor (which SS will want to avoid/minimize) - will be very interesting how a big one is absorbed by the SM once everyone gets everything they asked for !

Generally, I would resist ANY restrictions. However, there is clearly something which needs addressing here when chunks of £60k+ have rapidly been appearing on the SM.
I have certainly 'gamed' it a bit, but the maximum I have ever bid is about 25% of my existing portfolio and certainly less than £10k.
However, SS have clearly modelled this and feel it will help and stop some of the really silly bids which distort the whole allocation - I hate to think what some have been doing and what would happen if they couldn't have sold on the SM.
Once implemented, the percentage can always be tweaked if really necessary.
Therefore, I support it - well done SS for listening and acting quickly.

Many thanks
Yes, I was just being lazy and picked up your very first post in the thread!
I guess the property loans flatter your A+ and A stats with have gone the other way to B and C since aug/sep. My experience it that the non-property have tracked down quite a bit.
Keep up the good work awk

Apart from A+, which seems pretty much stuck, all the other risk bands are down ~0.4% on the *SM* over the last month (from a not very exciting starting position too) and 1% down on the year (looking at the price for the 500th part of £100 or less). A+ A B C C- 12/31/2014 9.9 10.8 11.8 13.4 13.6 31/01/2015 8.9 10.4 11.4 12.9 13.5 28/02/2015 9.1 10.2 11.1 12.9 13.7 31/03/2015 9.1 9.8 10.7 12.4 13.3 How low can it go? Hi GSV3MIaC, just wondered if you have kept this list going? it was very useful. after a good run, strange things (like I'm not selling anything) started a couple of days ago awk

Real bots don't go to sleep !!
This is probably a few people who sit there with some autohotkey type script to run. They will click on the loan they want (to open it up) and then hit the hotkey to do the rest.
I think that the box is always in the same position on the screen and we know that if you ask for more than available, you still get what's there.
So, it will position curser, left mouse click, backspace, backspace, backspace, type £1000 (or another fixed amount), return, return.
Yes, currently due to excess demand, it's a bit annoying. I think it will settle down once those individuals fill their boots - they can't make more money once fully invested.
However, if SS ever went down the FC route of premiums/discounts you would see a whole host of sophisticated bots come in to make the big money by trading parts.
Best we just put up with it

so who is s***********m
keeps taking 50p of PBL072 every 3 or 4 seconds
is this bot testing or an attempt to bring SS down by exceeding the maximum number of parts?

Something else which I spotted this morning was that if successful, then my "available funds" got debited almost immediately, but the spinning circle kept spinning and I got the successful message a couple of minutes later.
Generally, when the funds didn't get debited, then a couple of minutes later I was told that I was unsuccessful.
The only exception (I think - because it was all a bit of a haze) was when I thought all was lost but then I "successfully" got £1.33 - I threw it straight back.
Therefore, I'm assuming that the delay is while any partially successful bids are calculated.

Uncletone: I had included a screenshot of the pipeline loans page, which I deleted.
However, given that SS now openly shows this level of information to anyone (without a logon) on the new website, then maybe the guidelines need updating?
