Hi all, could I please politely ask that questions of this nature are submitted via the support@lendy.co.uk address so they can be monitored and responsed to in an efficient way. Any question submitted via this channel is also logged on our Help system unlike questions raised on the forum. Thanks, Paul Hi Paul64 , George has just responded to my query submitted via your help system as requested Is this really the best new rule you could dream up given 2 whole days ? Maybe you could point me towards where it is written down? Posted here as there was a lot of interest in my question and I wouldn't want to keep the answer to myself ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi awk Thank you for your email. Please note that the bonus is not payable now as we advised on the platform that an extension was being considered before the loan matured. Kind regards, Customer Services Team Lendy

Hi Paul64 Lendy Support , Given that DFL004 was about 2 weeks late BEFORE being extended, I'm assuming that bonus accrual will be paid for those days. Please could you confirm whether this is payable now (at the point of extension), or at the final loan repayment ? thanks

alienate as many as it seduces. absolutely. Keen on increased returns and love a bit of cashback. Only been with Lendy 10 months and the number of changes with little or no warning, and it now seems, deliberate obfuscation compounding lack of clarity in the changes (hence I did not partake of the recent tranche), and lack of warning re the defacto situation change re selling loan parts has alienated me. Just as well I am in a space where no-one can hear me scream! Mm ... obfuscation ... I'm always confused what that word actually means

Looks like it was at least £1k. Wonder if anyone on here knows?
EDIT: just re-read star dust 's post above which now also includes this information.
I prefunded 4k and got £3330. Well, I called that one totally wrong didn't I ! £3330 max and 632 investors showing as of now. I thought that a 13% (if that's what it is), long dated (if that's what it is) loan/tranche would have got the green eyed monsters in us salivating - maybe the world has changed for ever !

Let's play an old game that we played when we were young(er)
Guess what the max allocation on this new tranche will be
I'll kick it off and say that greed will get the better of many and the max will be £140

But I doubt it's retroactive .. even though it appears against ALL the repaid loans I looked at .. even way way back. One suspects the system gremlins are at work (again). If I had to guess I'd guess it'll start at some future date (maybe 1/Aug when SBL ceases to happen). An interesting communication from Ly, but they should have run it through a beta test, since it raises several new Qs. You mean I might not get that extra 7p on the garden centre loan !

agreed - number of users not meaningful - the number of *active* users ready to lend is critical. So many of us would be classed as users but are now inert give or take a small chunk of something now unsellable. The showstopper for me is not the lower rates (also available elsewhere!) but lack of robust willingness to default and deal with the laggards (a necessary evil for high risk lending). Jack P I was just pondering if/how Ly will "grow" going forward. Given the availability of reasonable loans on the SM, I'm assuming that existing investors are pretty much fully invested and holding steady or looking to decline their holdings. So, the key question is whether 'new' investors are still coming on-board with 'new money'. Personally, I think the size of the SM is a bit misleading because the majority (yes, Ly hold some - and I suspect that most isn't even on the SM) is funded loans where investors have decided for all sorts of reasons to sell that particular loan. Again, investors in new loans isn't the total answer either. Neither are registered users, although I disagree that it is meaningless. So, only Ly know the true answer about 'new' money, but looking at all of the above gives the best feeling - which was why I asked if anyone had been tracking the registered user number.

I'm sure that there was a tracker, but can't find it. So, has anyone been tracking the number of registered users reported by Ly?
I know that it doesn't mean active investors, but I'm interested if newbies are still joining the platform.

With my final couple of holdings now all 'officially' in default and no expectation of any recoveries, I decided it was time to clear out the remaining couple of pounds and pence from my account (I tend to normally only withdraw round numbers). First problem was that there is a minimum £5 withdrawal - no problem I thought, i'll put £5 in and then take it all out. But then it said the minimum deposit was £100 - bit surprised, but they aren't keeping my money, so I put £100 in from my debit card. I then go to withdraw the lot and it says I can't because I recently made a deposit which hasn't cleared - that was on Thursday, the transaction showed on my bank account Friday, but today (Tuesday) is still stops me withdrawing MY money with the same message ! I just want my money ! I was in the same position. Paid in £5 by bank transfer and took it (plus the odd pence) out the following day. My debit card transfer was finally "cleared" yesterday - 6 working days - and I requested all the money out From what min said, it looks like I should have done a bank transfer (£5 vs £100 and 1 day vs 8 days) I would say, I'll remember that for next time, but I don't expect a next time - unless they actually do break their duck and recover some money !

13% on £12 - it won't keep you in champagne ! Every little helps......I think I should trade mark that phrase! If you were to reinvest the monthly interest, then I calculate you could afford a bottle of the cheapest Spanish Cava from "that" supermarket after about 3 years and 1 month - unless Brexit pushes the price up !
