Hi hazellend. The fca sent a message to all p2p ceo stating that it viewed wholesale lending to be against the law. In drilling down I think this means any platform that lends money or facilitates a loan to a company or individual to fund lending by that company is not allowed. There is a thread about it but I cant put my hands on it just now. Any mods or better tech savvy forumites able to add the link please?. I am open to correction if I have read it wrongly. S Is this what you were looking for? www.p2pfinancenews.co.uk/2017/02/28/fca-wholesale-lending/

I am probably being dumb but shares at 20% discount - does this mean you can buy shares in it at this discount if you have the ISA? These are standard shares, an investment trust I believe, that can be purchased inside or outside of an ISA. The 20% discount refers to the discount against the net asset value. Current share price is 788p. Last NAV (1st March) was 997p per share.

Going back to the original topic - yes big mistake to have 4 loans at one time. Website was unusable.

In relation to this, is there a place where we can look for the financials of the platforms themselves? beta.companieshouse.gov.uk has the last published accounts but some of the platforms are too new to be listed.

On reflection, maybe I've over-diversified? I don't believe it is possible to be over-diversified in any market with inherent risk.

I actually think that FS are much closer to getting it right on this railway carriage loan. If they restrict the loan such that everybody has time to get a small chunk then there is no need for patient investors to pay a premium on the secondary market. Ok, it will take a long time to invest several thousand, but this spreads the available loans more fairly. I suspect that the allocation on this one was still too generous - as I type the progress is 76% so I doubt whether it will last the 24 hours until restrictions are lifted.

Except it looks like it was my mistake and I did actually get some, so if that WAS your experience then worth re-checking your balance. Unless you had some pence from a loan repayment in which case it could be that it was actually rounded up (I deliberately didn't bother trying to invest my entire balance because of this) Mine was 5p below my stated balance so I don't think it was rounding, unless they round to 10p or something.

Not impressed - there was allegedly plenty left but I just kept getting a message saying I was trying to invest more than my available funds, when actually it was less My experience exactly.

Talking of emails, is there anyway to stop the confirmations? I really don't need an email whenever I manage to buy 0.14 on the market.
