Just to follow up on this. My additional investment though listed amongst lenders did not make it as the FS computers got themselves confused. Now given that I already had a first investment successfully included in that loan and that I am very much small fry compared to others, FS could have apologised profusely but done nothing more. Instead they have made a not requested credit to my account as way off apology, when I asked if that loan was in or out. The difficulties reported on the board today did not impact me (as I was tied up in meetings most of the afternoon) but I have to say I really do hope FS can resolve their technical issues. Yes still early days but FS, to date, seem to be a very good customer service orientated people trying to drive forward a good idea...

Not sure... All very small fry but wanted to add in an extra £50.37, the balance remaining in my account. At one point it was showing two separate £50.37's for me within the list of lenders but now it is showing just the one. However, my account is still showing the £50.37 as available when it should not be (my original £50 I chucked in is showing under live loans rather than as available). Maybe that is driving part of the difference between the loan showing both 98% and 100% filled. I can't be the only person to whom this has happened.

The message stopped being there briefly for me sometime in the afternoon so I was able to add in another £50 in but I fear I broke it as it is showing my addition twice and has returned to stopping people adding in funds... I promise I did not hit the back button, etc. I'm sure it will sort itself out shortly as I don't have the funds for the extra bid anyway...

The message wasn't there when I was thinking about adding more around 8pm but then was there by 10pm and has stayed till this morning.
Suspect you might be right on your theory, FS is the only P2P site that often "remembers me" when I go back to their site when I don't log out even if I shut down my computer. I don't mind as it is a pain logging into some of the others and answering several questions which I am not convinced enhances security anyway, but it might be remembering someone's indecision...
If that is the case, it usually takes about 3 days for FS to "forget" me again.

Thanks for confirming. I am obviously going to have to cave and join twitter at some point...

After the long drought I'm more concerned about the loan security. 17 Modern paintings by an artist that started his career just 3 years ago? Well, though there's a bit of cash sitting idle in my account and most probably will continue to sit idle for quite a while, I'll miss this one. Good point, but a trawl of the internet did turn up a few auction sale results, and they were rather pricey. Also, the auction prices seemed to be at or above the auctioneer's guide price, so that's encouraging. The bottom line, however, is that to invest with FS you have to have faith that they know what they're doing and that their valuers do as well. Obviously easier with a longer track record and more activity, so it's best to be cautious. I don't know much about Art collecting but for someone to have that many paintings of the same artist, is that common without the person being a gallery owner? Which then got me thinking could FS lend to companies?
