Didn't bother with Council investments - initially couldn't be in ISA then when that was changed, I felt that the return was far too low, could have got a better return elsewhere with instant access capability (which obvs the council weren't) added to which I felt that interest rates weren't going to be so low forever and then I would be stuck with the poor returns. :-(

Tagging onto an older thread, I'm getting increasingly concerned about the amount of "trading suppended" tags on my Abundance portfolio, they are getting very close to 50% of my portfolio (worse if you add in the losses of the two that have dropped out of it which I daren't count :-( ) Brian

I am feeling quite concerned over this extension request, "to miss one deadline may be regarded as misfortune, to miss another looks like carelessness" I'm thinking we've not been left with a lot of choice unfortunately, but maybe calling receivers in could be for the best anyway? blaming it on Covid seems a bit weak. other opinions? the new offer seems to be filling nicely for Abundance with over a third subscribed in the first few days. I imagine that there's been a few people who will bung in their spare account balance but the average investor is putting £1,000 in. I'd imagine that they'll have another one open before the end of the 2020/21 tax year that can be held in an ISA (council ones can't IIRC) so not much time for them to get their act together! I really don't get this one, as in I don't see how Hydrogen is viable as a fuel, - the only "green" way to produce it is with Electricity, add in the production/transport costs, shrinkage, plus a proift for the company, then as an energy source it's going to be way dearer than using Electricity directly, never miond the cost of converting all the gas appliances to run on Hydrogen gas, pretty much like the conversion to North sea gas but in reverse (for those who remember that far back - I do) - Town Gas that was used up until then was pretty much Hydrogen + Carbon Monoxide. Back then Gas was produced locally and used locally, now there is a national transmission network, losses are going to be a big issue too - Hydrogen is the smallest Fuel gas molecule available by a large margin - it's going to find every leak going. (if I remember correctly, the smallest molecule bar Helium but my days of school science are a long way behind me!!) No wonder the Divi's on this are so low <I'm out> Brian

Good luck to Stuart, but is he wise to invite RS investors to investigate AC while there is still no liquidity there? Peraps he's hoping that they'll provide extra liquidity? However, if they've "escaped" from RS, what's the chances of them "jumping in" without looking first? Brian

I must be the unluckiest man in the country, whenever i ring up a call centre, after getting the usual message about"how important your call is to us" i always seem to get the message about how they are receiving an unusually large number of calls, and there is a queue of calls and that I can hold and wait, or call back later... Of course when I call back later, they are still having an "exceptionally large number of calls" strange that whenever i call they are snowed under? How do they know I'm going to ring? Brian

That's the payment reference - account number (well, name really) is shown on the tax statement. if you changed your bank account they generated a new payment reference so this definitely isn't the account number! I've found that generally the most reliable source of account number for all P2P platforms is the tax statement Yeah....................especially Funding Insecure Surprisingly, I tried this for my ISA account, yes I can get a tax statement for my ISA account ... Just aswell as I need to do an ISA transfer

@wallstreet - thank you for taking the time to learn more about our service, but may I ask why you decided to focus on a video from 4 years back when you could see what we offer now at www.cityfalcon.com (and it's free to get started) and on Seedrs (https://www.seedrs.com/cityfalcon4) where we explain our vision. Also, there are loads of videos for you to look at on these links. What you saw from 4 years back was an MVP (minimum viable product) from when we started the company. I have been investing money in different asset classes for more than 20 years, and the video you saw shows the basic dashboard I created myself without any tech support. After that, we now have had a team of up to 39 people working on the product for the last 4 years. The founder of Linkedin, Reid Hoffman, has said these famous words - ""If You're Not Embarrassed By The First Version Of Your Product, You’ve Launched Too Late" If you had seen the Seedrs campaign, you would have also the videos from the senior management from BNP Paribas and Seedrs explaining why they use our services. Here it is for your convenience cityfalcon.wistia.com/medias/has0m9h14m. I'm a first time entrepreneur and learning every day. We prefer to build relationships with our investors, and given your focus on irrelevant content and constant focus on the negatives instead of looking at the bigger opportunity, you will not be a good fit as an investor for us. Hence, we are not interested in your money and would like to keep you out! Good luck with your investments! That sounds like ther old Marx Brothers quote "Well I wouldn't want to be a member of any club that would have someone like me as a member" but in reverse I s'pose :-) Brian

Yes - home dominatrix work - great defence in Court! They might try and get you on some other laws though... and the headlines might have been even more embarrassing! Not sure if I count as lazy, but I had always assumed that if your work was in someone else's home (maintenance, cleaning etc) that it was OK - I didn't see anything in the regulations that prohibited it - you can clearly not do that from your own home. So you're effectively saying that if He'd paid her, they wouldn't have been doing anything wrong! - from a Covid perspective anyway.

I went to the supermarket today (Canary Islands). A little taste of my experience: <snip> 10) Toilet paper ample! A few bits and pieces missing, but nothing dramatic. that doesn't sound like very useful toiletpaper (eugh)Brian

I can understand the rationale of having a queue to withdraw money, but why can't I transfer funds from QAA to 90 Day account? that just doesn't make sense! Brian

Just read the "Access acconts update" I do wish they hadn't used the "Strong and Stable" phrase, it didn't cut it for Theresa, puts me off, thinking result will not be any different in this case! :-( Brian

Considering this drama about withdrawals could possibly go on for a few weeks may as well move quick access funds to the 30 or 90 day account. You cant withdraw it anyway! Excellent positive forward thinking. An opportunity not a crisis. Can't do that either, at least I couldn't 10 mins ago Brian
