Perhaps it's part of the Project Blue Beam plan, so that they can announce the fake alien invasion when the time comes.

Whatever it is, I've managed for 58 years without Government emergency warnings so I've turned my emergency alerts on my mobile phone off. If nuclear war happens I'd rather not get a warning as that would no doubt only put me in panic mode andn spoil what last few hours or minutes I had left. Hopefully, I'll be taking my twice daily dog walks along the beach in ignorant bliss if and when that happens and that will be just fine because the sea can take our charred remains away.
For those of you who will receive the warning whilst driving, remember it's an offence to touch your mobile phone even if you're stationery so you'll have to let it ring out until you can pull over somewhere safely and turn your vehicle's engine off or else get somebody else in the vehicle to turn it off for you if it's to hand for them. I foresee lots of RTAs that day ...

Only 1/4 of my P2P expected payment in my holding account tonight. Email received at 8pm Further payments will be made by 28 February 2022. "The Loan Book Sale agreements allow for repayment to occur 60 days from the specified payment dates and therefore please note that provided full repayment is made by the end of February 2022, no events of default will have occurred".

I too retired at 53 and this year (I'm now 55) I took my 25% tax free lump sum then set up a regular drawdown of £1,000 per month (I have no other income other than tax-free interest). The first payment was taxed on an emergency code but between them HMRC and my pension provider sorted that out in time for the second payment and now I pay no tax each month. As my annual pension income is £12,000 I will be able to claim back the emergency tax that I paid on the first drawdown payment. My tax code is 1257L so I'm allowed to earn £12,570 before I have to pay income tax but I couldn't be bothered with the odd pounds and pence so opted for a nice round £1,000 a month instead.
If you were to try to access, £12,570 (or a lesser amount) in a lump sum annually you would probably pay emergency tax on it the first time and then have to claim it back (that's why I went for a monthly drawdown). I'm not sure about annual withdrawals after that. I have read that HMRC assumes that your first pension withdrawal each year is a monthly amount so they tax you, but I have no experience of that so can't say for certain one way or the other.
When I'm 67 and I start to receive my State Pension, I will reduce my monthly drawdown amount from my pension so that my total annual income (State Pension and SIPP drawdown) is within my tax allowance. No way will I be paying tax on any of my pension incomes ever again if there's a way around it.

I've just checked my emails (including spam folder) and I haven't had a message from them yet. I logged into my account: my holding account balance is still nil and my most recent activity is my June 2021 withdrawal. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I was just thinking about this earlier today. Last year's December payment was made on the 17th and it hit my bank account on 21st so hopefully not long now. Having said that, they made June's payment on the 23rd so who knows what they're planning with this one. I too will be glad to see the back of Wellesley with this last payment and I trust in karma to do its thing.

I'll be putting up with it just a little short of the 6 months that I have to appeal to the FOS. I'm not letting time run out.

My two remaining loans are both unlikely to pay me back anything but I'm "lucky" that they're "only" 72.9% of the total interest that I've received since I first invested with SS in July 2016.

2 But where has #137 Ep***g gone? because it is neither at the beginning nor the end (Nobody will be surprised to hear I have a longstanding sell instruction, fortunately not for a large amount)
It's still visible for me. Forgive me if this is obvious, but have you tried finding it by sorting the loans by loan number?
