A cryptic reference to a certain gold plated asset (bathroom at least) which will be coming to term on Jan 13th (85 days). There was a great deal of DD carried out on this one at it's inception and I think quite a few involved in that process have kept a 'token' investment and are dying to see how it finally turns out. It would be a shame to miss out on the fun if we cannot see the updates. I will wait and see what happens to the web site next week. If I cannot see the updates for a loan I am not in then I will certainly be buying a penny stake in a few loans that I would like to keep in touch with.

Any thoughts on the avatar? I rather enjoyed GeorgeT's avatar's dalliance with DD. I did wonder if he was, perhaps, quietly advised to choose a less duly diligent avatar for some or other reason?

The way this loan has played out it looks like an intentional fraud. The borrower didn’t even start the development, just pocketed the money and disappeared into the sunset. The amount borrowed looks like significantly more than the security is worth so further suspicion of fraud and/ or gaming an incredibly weak system. For those with intent this stuff is like taking candy off a baby. Could that be why it’s been suspended? Suspected fraud? The VR, very reliably (??) informs us that the current value of the site with the PP is £10.6M (top of page 41). If that's the case, why would someone borrow £7.5M (less after Lendy's cut) and abscond leaving a £10M property to be disposed of by Lendy's recovery process? Why not simply sell the property and pocket the £10M. Maybe it isn't really worth what the VR says it is. Well, that would be a surprise wouldn't it!

Yes, which only makes it more remarkable. I am fairly sure that I have watched an interview with him, in front of some drama students somewhere, in which he states that a lot of it was improvised, but can't find a link. This gives a little more background info too. I've seen that interview, many years ago. May have been on Dutch TV - I spend a lot of time on business over there.

It is claimed that Rutger Hauer improvised much of that speech. I don't know if that's strictly true but I'd like to believe it. The claim is made here for example.

An hour ago, my chunk of this loan was waiting behind a sale queue of £800. The queue is now £70,000! I'm less than impressed! Yes, A £70,000 jump in the SM value occurred at around 08:15 to 08:20 10:15 to 10:20 this morning. [EDIT: Changed GMT to BST the wrong way!]That's very rude of Lendy to dump money on the SM like that several days after the last tranche. On 13/10, all between 16:07 and 16:09: 1. Tranche 11 loan amount was changed from £583,159 to £286,159. 2. Tranche 11 loan amount was changed again to £297,000. 3. The main loan was increased from £9,751,283 to £10,048,283 - an increase of exactly £297,000. 4. Tranche 11 was removed from the pipeline. During that time, the SM value was hovering around £45k to £50k. There were three jumps upwards of around £10k each over the next eight hours or so but nothing significant. Over the weekend the SM value increased from around £70k to £140k and then wham... one huge jump this morning as Lendy did the dirty on you.

DFL008 - Tranche 15 in pipeline Exit Strategy The units will be completed between February and May 2017 proof reader job needed? More likely a simple cut and paste with no checks. I'm pretty sure the completion schedule is the original one from when the loan was first offered and has never been changed. The original loan particulars have been copied to the new tranche. Note: Original draw down for the DFL version of this loan was 31/10/2016 with a term of 273 days (from cooling_dude's index). This means that the original term should have ended 31/07/2017. This would allow some time to sell the completed properties. Now the project has slipped (haven't they all) but nobody's updated the timescales in the blurb online.

DFL003 has been revalued. The asset value has been increased from £15,575,000 to £17,200,000.
Loan currently stands at £4,854,214 and the new LTV is quoted as 28%.
The new VR is based on a valuation inspection on 20/06/2007.

Another partial repayment of PBL174R2 valued at £143,678 was made today at around 3:10pm.
The remaining loan now stands at £603,152 with LTV quoted as 48%.

I wrote my first post almost a year ago and have thoroughly enjoyed this forum ever since. A thousand posts may sound a lot but it's nothing compared to some.
I turned out a few bad limericks some time ago... I thought I'd briefly resurrect that art form for fun (sorry).
