tbh I am simply not bright enough nor good enough with figures to run the numbers, probabilities, possibilities, permutations and computations, on this one. Is it fair to reason that if " Broadoak will be investing 5% of the loan amount on a first loss basis." then it's also reasonable to dip a three figure toe in the water? I think so and I will be dipping a low four-figure sum in this investment. I have already done a money transfer in readiness. While nobody should make investment decisions based on my personal opinions, I am happy enough to be having a dabble. To me, being protected from the first 5% of any loss justifies the rate of 11%. This loan has really got the secondary market moving today which has got me invested in a good number of loans that I didn't hold previously. I've had to deposit the figure I plan to invest in this loan a total of five times today as each time I've invested the lot (not that it's a huge amount) in the SM.

If a platform is struggling to meet demand, why can they not just stop accepting new lender account applications? That way you can continue to offer a decent product to current investors. I do realise it's a bit of a cheek for me, as a new investor, to demand the platforms pull up the drawbridge behind me now I'm in but platforms can control demand as/more easily as supply.

I've found that loans have not been split between very many loans on LW. My initial deposit of £100 was split in 3 with £34 the largest chunk. A subsequent deposit of £1500 was also only split 3 ways resulting in two loan chunks of £500+. I think the only way to avoid this is to drip-feeding smaller deposits. Got my fingers crossed that the borrower keeps up repayments over the three year term.

I checked out a few examples given online but none of them have an example of anything more complex than a single part or full transfer. Thanks. I recommend reading the 4th Way ISA guide which provides a clear overview of the IFISA rules, including the rules on ISA transfers. Thanks.

I have read elsewhere in this forum that there are people who borrow to invest. This results in investing without first saving.!!! Sounds like gambling to me Or maybe just leveraging. I had been saving for a while and was close to reaching a point where i had enough cash savings to be comfortable with investing. I have borrowed/stoozed some money to both grow the cash pot to the desired level and divert some of my own cash savings to p2p and S&S ISA. My cash savings are now approx 60:40 stoozed funds to my own money.

/mod hat off AIUI 'yes', subject to ALL the ISA providers being willing to play ball (i.e. accept transfers in / out, and transfer some fraction (rather than 'all') of a pot held elsewhere .. without charging you a limb or two for the privilege). Thought that was the case. I checked out a few examples given online but none of them have an example of anything more complex than a single part or full transfer. Thanks.

ablrate : Starting with 1000042 perhaps which was due to be paid yesterday? And 1000051 due yesterday And 1000031. Did anything get paid yesterday? I notice the new loan barely progressed yesterday. Perhaps people waiting for interest payments to reinvest?

Just checking my understanding of the ISA transfer rules.
I withdrew £14k from a Flexible cash ISA last year. On 05/04/17 I replaced £14k into the same cash ISA which I then withdrew on 06/04/17 returning it to high(er) interest current accounts.
I understand that I can return £14k to this cash ISA and make further contributions of £20k to ISAs in this tax year.
I have an IFISA with LendingWorks that I subscribed to in tax year 16/17. I intend to open another IFISA if/when one is offered (by Ablrate, Moneything, Collateral, FundingSecure etc) this tax year.
If I repay the £14k into the cash ISA am I free to transfer/split it between both of the IFISAs while still contributing new funds to one of those IFISAs?

I've ticked more saver than investor because I have more money in savings than investments. However, I now invest more each month than I save as I have an amount of cash savings that generate interest at the level of my PSA. Any more cash savings will produce a low level return and I've got enough 'cash' to live on for a year or more if needs be.

Could it be MT off loading some of the loan? There's a Post on the 'What's on the secondary' market thread where someone is selling off some loans to raise cash.

Well i now look forward to the MT IFISA, except i am not sure what on earth my money could be invested in as there is never anything significant on the SM, and new loans are rather infrequent! Hi Grahamg, This is exactly why we will not be rushing in to offering an IFISA. Our priority now is to build loan origination so that when we do offer the IFISA there will be enough loans to satisfy demand. Working towards our FCA authorisation took up considerable resource and this affected our ability to grow our borrower base. Now we have our authorisation, we have taken on more resource and we are really looking forward to growing the business. Kind regards Sophie Surely Moneything can control demand by limiting the number of new Lenders registering on the platform?

Morning, We would like to share a couple of modest milestones that have been reached over the weekend. The first milestone was we broke through the 1,000 investors. The second, we broke the £1,000,000 on the secondary market with sales and purchases. As always, many thanks for all your support over the last few months, it's really appreciated. Gordon Maybe it was me. Looking forward to using the platform. Had a good experience contacting support to help me to register.

I attempted to Register yesterday (Saturday). Registration failed as it did again when I tried today.
Sent an email to support expecting it to be picked up on Monday but got a reply today and got myself registered this evening.
Happy to see an issue addressed so promptly.

Just visited the Collateral site to check current situation and Registration page no longer triggers a warning. Will likely register later in the week.

Thanks. It's a little weird because that's what I'm running and I don't seem to have any issues logging in. Perhaps collateral changed something... For reference, I'm using "Kaspersky Internet Security" 16.0.1.445(f) with latest databases. My browser is Chrome with the "Kaspersky Protection" 4.6.3.16 extension enabled. All running on windows 10. All exactly the same here. I'm not attempting to login, but to register. Kaspersky displays a malicious webpage and then a malicious link warning and blocks the page. The detailed report warns of a Trojan program. If I access the Login page, I receive no warnings.
