Yep, 5am - 7 am UK time is as great time. Loads of stuff up for sale this morning. I managed to buy into some loans which we were underinvested in, and offload some bits of loans where we had too much. Does this mean that there are other SS investors who live abroad? Or are people waking up at 5am with a desperate urge to put their stuff on the secondary market? Only sad thing: I didn't get out for a walk by the sea this morning - too busy trading. Quite a few of us seem to be overseas.

I decided to run my loan book down and have now decided to actively sell some loans. Profits have evaporated like a morning mist. How does one just take the profit you see on the summary?

What's happened to Unit3, one minute there was over 400k then it disappeared and nothing in investor activity? Good question. Now absolutely nothing on the SM.

I've been driving an E class for the last six years and loved it. Had circumstances not changed (company relocating out of Belgian tax hell to go to Prague) I would have ordered a new one nearly a year back. As it was I was talked in to taking a now surplus to requirements Audi A4 instead, as taking on a new lease on the Mercedes would have been very silly if it had to go back after 6 months. Anyway, I found the Audi a good solid car, well built but astonishingly boring. But then it was the 1.9 diesel specially strangled to avoid tax on power. Mind you, everything seems to be strangled by tax in Belgium. The A4 just died, or a bit of it did. A wheel bearing I think. I dumped it back at the office and picked up a now also surplus to requirements A5 Sportback. Very pretty car and better than the A4 in every respect. I did once test drive an A6 as a possible alternative to the Mercedes, but I just preferred the Mercedes. The Mercedes engine seemed punchier, the auto gearbox smoother with better responses. The Audi engine was smoother and quieter though. In the end the interior swung me back to the Mercedes, much nicer than the Audi. Much nicer than most anything, really. Anyway, quite pleased with the A5, just a pity that in all the company upheaval that it's obviously been passed through a few hands and not all have taken care of it. Only 30,000 or so on the clock and there are loads of scrapes and scratches when you look closely. Pity. Hi xyon.. i totally agree with you , audi's do have that little bit of boredom about them, maybe when new, they are, too over engineered, i didnt see anything there about beemers, so ill take it we agree there, the beemers are a good car, but its the perception of people who drive them.. not so good. I am open to trying a merc and i keep thinking i'll have to give one a try, tho not sure which one yet, i like the look of the C class. my son driving an A5 at the mo, he loves it, (but hes a young-un) but the A6, its a big heavy car, and to get the best out of it you have to go with a big engined A6, preferably S-line and not diesel, theirs no such thin as a fast tractor. Please , by all means, try and convert me to merc, i am susceptible, and may even try one next, wont be a new one tho, we love the q7 too much. I did have BMW 3 series and a C class, but that was 2000 for the BMW and 2005 for the C class. At the time, the BMW was by far the better buy, even if it did eat headlight bulbs. The C class was OK, but it really just did not feel like a quality car. The E class is another world. Oh, and the BMW was used a LOT. At about a 100,000 miles it started to feel tired, was smoking more than it should and there was a hole in the power. Like the turbo might have been on the way out? Final straw was when I went to top up the oil and noticed the cam chain guide at the top was broken and hanging on with one screw. That was disaster waiting to happen. The garage pushed it in to the workshop! Both cars are simply not the same any more and the new C class looks lovely. And yes, BMW driver image. You know, it's really not that much different with a Mercedes. People seem to think you only drive them to get up their nose! Stuff 'em. I'll drive what I like. Same issue on the bikes actually. BMW GS riders in particular come up for some stick for spending too much money on a mediocre bike in order to impress others. Truth is, they are actually really good bikes. But anyway, get a test drive in an E class and see what you think. Of course, it will depend on how you drive and where. I have been in the north of England and the Czech Republic in the space of three days and although I'm sure that while many cars could do it as well, few could do it any better. ;-)

Yup. works fine. I do like a little tinker with my bikes myself, but that is well beyond anything I would try! I nursed a broken bird back to health some time ago after my friend trashed it. Put it largely back to standard though, some bar risers aside. Currently in limbo waiting for decision on work and so based in a small apartment with nowhere to park anything, but the KTM 1290 SA will be on the shopping list as soon as I have somewhere to park it! Last bike, up till late last years was a BMW K1300GT. Seriously under rated bit of kit, if a little heavy and rev happy on the motorway. Always looking for 7the gear!

Oh no your not alone.. I have been T.W.O.* all my life.
My first road vehicle was a Yamaha FS1E, it was a 50cc road rocket when I was sweet 16
Now my "best bike" is this little Duck Multistrada.
* Two Wheels Only Whilst I have a couple of bikes presently my most unusual one is a Blackbird (cbr1100xx) that I've bored and supercharged, zx12r front end, blade rear end and I've lightened it ..... a lot. A real 'fun' ride The duck is quackers. The Blackbird is, in my humble opinion, one of the best bikes every built. Can't you post some piccies hosted at photobucket or something? I would love to see that. :-)

Nice. my current ride is a 2011 Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TFSI S-Line Le Mans, recently remapped. Awesome indeed. A fellow owner told me "Once you've gone Audi, you never go back". He might be right. Totally agree, tried out the beemers, and they are good, but the audi's just seem to have that little something extra, i think its the build quality and the overall tightness of everything, the Q7 is the second best car i've ever had, it covers all the bases, powerful, 7 seats, top quality interior, sat nav, 4x4 and the list goes on... but... the top accolade for me has to go to .... "K reg Ford sierra sapphire 4X4 RS Cosworth blue (frightening, very frightening)" I know this next statement is not politically correct, but i was young then and please accept my apology.. but.. i was on the M1 outside lane, south of leeds early morning, on my way to Glasgow in the cosworth doing <head hung in shame> 135mph... i was flashed out of the way by an Aston martin db7. This car was just fantastic, (if your a young-un) if you looked past the crappy ford build quality and just enjoyed what the car could do, it was truly awesome, i would not dare get in one today. strangely i have never owned a merc and never even fancied one. n they get home this evening? There is some buying going on so must be working for some people. Still more than 1m on offer though... Well, I tried all suggestions with no joy. I finally logged on with my phone, no problem. Clearly it's something about this machine but darned if I know what. Just noticed my touch screen is now playing up, too. Yes, still over a million on offer despite what must be something like a million in interest paid out. Maybe people will be reinvesting when they get home this evening. And what's with PBL 026? ""Currently negotiating with borrower to repay us. "" Negotiating? That is surely not how it's supposed to work. Glad I'm not in that one.

Not so lucky. Completely locked out of the SM this morning because I have no box to tick. SS said "nuffing to do wif us guv" and suggested I look at the CAPCHA website, which provided no help at all. I assume you have clicked/entered a sum into the amount box. Noticed yesterday that there was no box when page opened but it appeared when I clicked to enter an amount Nope, no box to click, amount filled or not. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll have a fiddle later.

* Two Wheels Only Got to love the Italians when it comes to design. I was looking at a new 1290 Panigale Yesterday. That thing is pure art. Ah yes, the old FS1E! Unfortunately I never could afford to buy one, so I have considered joining the hoards of sad old gits paying an absolute fortune for one to run around on locally to try and relive a youth I never lived in the first place! I tried a Multistroodle but decided that as pretty as it is, it's not for me. That thing only seemed to be happy with two throttle positions, fully open or closed. Given that fully open for 3 seconds achieves escape velocity, I decided against it. I believe the new ones are better in that respect? The new bike, when I have a place to call home where I can park it, will be the KTM 1290 SA. :-) Cars are boring.....Well, my Audi is!

I just got one car back from the body shop last Wednesday. It was torpedoed by an old boy doing a turn in the farm where I had left it while walking the coast to coast path. Yesterday I go out to find the other car, like spanking new Ford Fiesta with only 22,000 miles on it has been destroyed by the gardeners trailer, not that he's admitting it. He can't explain why the corner of the trailer, the bit that would fit the damage perfectly in both height and profile, is all shiny bright metal clean. His previously fair English seems to have deserted him. I can, he rubbed the incriminating blue paint off it. My first car? Can't even remember. I hate the bloody things. Nothing but trouble. Bikes on the other hand...... :-)
