Paula Vennells is going to get crucified when she appears in front of the inquiry. Some time in May?

Don't tell me you've read all his books !
Nope, but I have read this, which I thoroughly recommend (as with all of Michael Lewis's work).

1. Trump. Far more important globally. 2. Not my place to say. I'm not American.

Went to see Frank Skinner last night; A great show, very funny (still a bit blue, but not as much as he used to be!). He reckons that along with Climate deniers and Holocaust deniers, there is now Fifteen deniers. He knows this is true because he read it on a box of tights. I shouldn't have laughed, but I did .

We already have a totally unelected Prime Minister who was put into his position after the "wrong" candidate won the Tory Leadership. Of the prime ministers who've served in the last half century... * Wilson came to power as a minority leader after getting fewer votes than Heath in the March 74 election. * Callaghan came to power in an internal leadership contest. * Thatcher won the 79 election. * Major came to power in an internal leadership anointment after Heseltine dropped out. * Blair won the 97 election. * Brown came to power in an internal leadership anointment after nobody else stood. * Cameron came to power as a minority leader who gained a majority via a coalition. * May came to power in an internal leadership anointment after Leadsom dropped out. * Johnson came to power in an internal leadership contest. * Truss came to power in an internal leadership contest. * Sunak came to power in an internal leadership anointment after Mordaunt dropped out. So, of 11, precisely two got the job as a result of actually winning a majority at an election, while four got the job by default through internal mechanisms - with three through internal contests, two as leaders of minority parties after an election. And let's not forget that Truss wasn't the "wrong" candidate for the party. She was merely utterly incompetent, to the point that in six weeks she broke the country's financial system. Eventually, even the party realised that she was untenable. Something to note though, none of the opposing candidates conveniently fell out of windows, were shot on bridges in Moscow, or sadly passed away in the Gulag. For all I hold most of our current crop of politicians, of all stripes, in contempt, I don't believe any of them have stooped that low. Yet?

"Government: Unitary dominant-party presidential republic under a dictatorship". Sounds like you're having a right ol' laugh there. Will leave you alone to continue chortling. For somebody who goes on and on about "Remainers" and "the establishment" (whatever that actually >>is<<) in the context of Brexit you seem remarkably sanguine about one man one party rule.
